When you replace the image unit for the color that needs to be replaced then the chip on the NEW IMAGE will tell the printer good to go.

How to reset the web and reset the counter

the counter would be some sort of integrated chip but if the developer drum is past the max allowed prints it can be reconditioned at some re cartridging places or replaced with a new drum. The drum will need to be reconditioned if it reaches the max allowed use.

Clp320 reset counter

If you are worried about opening the printer or welding, you can simply buy an easy reset chip from Amazon or eBay. No welding is required and the installation takes only 1 or 2 min. Just peel and stick the chip.
Search for DRUM RESET CHIP or PEEL STICK DRUM RESET and you will find many premade reset chips.
If you are familiar with soldering, you may buy a drum reset fuse only and save $$$.

How do i reset my drum for xerox workcentre 7345

You can't reset the drums counter on the machine. The drum has what they call a CRUM on it. It's the micro chip on the drum frame. You can buy new CRUM's or use one that still has some life on it. Press the two plastic retainers to remove the CRUM.

I would like to reset my drum counter for my HP 2840 all in one printer.

There is a chip on the drum unit that resets the counter when you replace the drum.
There are aftermarket chips available on places like ebay, but you will only get a few hundred more prints before the toner runs out, or the waste tank fills up and leaks, so the best solution is to replace it.

I changed the drum but it still reads drum error and i am not receiving faxes. There is a ring so the connections are working. I cant get in to the area where it reads drum set.

Need to know Make and model to be sure.
However, many new machines reset the drum counter by blowing a fuse in the drum cartridge or by recoginition of a new chip in the cartridge. Some require a "Service code" access to reset counter after the drum has been replaced. Need specifics to be more help.

Sharp FO-4470: Error message is: "check cover or drum"

I'm assuming you already replaced the drum, and are still getting this error? Sometimes the chip in the drum that resets the counter is bad. This is esp. true if you get a reman drum. You should replace the drum and try again to see if this fixes the problem. Go back to the place you bought the new drum from and tell them the chip didn't reset the counter and if it's still under warranty they should replace it.

How to reset black drum counter OKI C3300 ?

Buy a pack of 10 x .062A (1/16A) pico fuse RS part No 738-3062. Switch off printer. Remove the drum and toner together from the drum slot to be reset. Carefully crimp the legs of the fuse around the contact wires on the right side of the drum slot. Make sure fuse legs are making a good connection to the wires and aren't touching the frame. switch on printer and allow it to detect the absence of the drum. Switch off printer and carefully remove the now blown fuse. Re-install the toner and drum assemnbly. Drum life is now reset. see pic:
