If the water is not being returned to the machine, there is a suction problem. Look for a cracked hos, or bad seal. Page 17 details solution not being picked up.

I have a Bissell proheat pet cleaner. works great on carpet. when tool part used dirt sucked up not going in dirty water tank. clean water still in tank.

There is a "diverter" that selects if the clean water is going to the power head and dirty water going to the tank OR clean water is going to the hose brush head and the dirty water is going to the tank. Be sure you are moving the selector full stroke. There are a many good videos on Youtube on this exact topic.

I need to know why the Hoover Max Extreme keeps telling me t check the tank?

Hi! The solution and water goes in the top tank. Dirty water is suctioned into the bottom tank as you're scrubbing your floors. To fill the clean water tank, remove the clean water tank cap. The cap serves as a measuring cap for the solution. Fill the cap with Hoover carpet washer solution to the fill line. Pour detergent into tank. Fill the rest of the clean water tank with hot tap water and twist the cap back on. You are now ready to clean. Hope this helps!

My Bissell Pro Heat Select 2X does not pull up the dirt from the carpet into the water. The water just slowly disappears. The first time I used it the water got really dirty. The very next time I used it...

Inside the plastic suction lid is a little red plastic filter that has to be cleaned out every time you use it because it sounds like your vaccum is not picking up all the hair and debri before you clean the carpet causing the water to be injected into the carpet and disappearing and not filling the tank with dirty water. Whare does the dirty water go in the bissel 12 amp pro heat carpet cleaner

the clean water goes into a "Bladder Bag" that is located inside the tank. The way it is designed to work, as the clean water dispenses from the bladder bag, the outer part around the bladder bag fills with the dirty water. It never touches the clean water. Seems wierd, but it works! I hope this helps, if it does, please give feedback, as it helps me to gain ratings. Thank you! Remember to have your cleaners serviced every year by a qualified tech! Clean the spot bot hose, it looks dirty.

My hose was filled with black mold, nearly from end to end, because I didn't clean it properly a year ago, which was the last time I used it. Here's how I got every speck of grime and mold out of the hose, and brought it back to looking brand new!

1. I placed the Spotbot on the counter on one side of my deep utility sink.
2. I unwrapped the hose from the body of the machine and held the mouth of the hose low, close to the sink drain.
3. I ran the water until it was scalding hot, and put the hose mouth up to the stream, keeping it low. I filled it for 3 seconds.
4. Then I poured spashless bleach down the hose mouth for a 2-3 second pour. Add more water if needed.
5. With a portion of water in the hose, I swung it back and forth, moving the bleach water all over the affected areas.
6. I continued to fill the hose with water and bleach(2-3 times), until I had a 1.5 inch reservoir in the dirty water basin to act as a suction plug.
7. I plugged my utility sink, and filled it with 3 inches of hot water, which I used to continue to fill my hose and to push out the air bubbles.
8. When the hose was full from end to end with bleach water and no air bubbles, but the reservoir remained at 1.5 inches full, I filled a plastic jar with 3 inches of water (for stability), and pinched the mouth end of the hose together upright into the jar. I placed the jar directly across from the Spotbot on the counter, on the other side of the utility sink. This means each end of the hose is elevated, and the body of it is hanging in the utility sink.
9. I left it like this all day and overnight. 22 hours later, I returned and the hose was pristine! I backwashed the hose and the dirty water reservoir out 4 times and hung the hose over the faucet to dry.
10. Hope this helps you!

Where do I put the water.

1. Release the handle and lay the machine
handle back to access the tank.
2. Remove the tank from the base of the
machine by lifting the tank carry handle.
3. Carry like a bucket to the sink. Rotate the handle forward
to unlatch the lid. Lift off and set the lid aside.
4. Fill up the bladder with clean hot tap water.
*Do not boil or microwave water as it can
destroy the bladder.
5. Replace the top of the tank by matching the
lid and tank edges. Handle must be in the
forward position in order to replace lid. Rotate
Note: Remember to secure the lid and test to make
sure it is secure before picking up the Tank.
6. Place tank into machine base, seating firmly in place.
Rotate tank handle back into latched position. Bring
machine handle back into upright position.

My scooba isn't picking up any water and the dirty tank is dry

This has happened to me twice. Frustrating. The first time I fixed it by half way filling up the dirty tank side, shaking the living bejeezes out of it, rinsing, and repeating a few times until big nasty clumps of **** fell out of the tank. The second time I was able to fix it by half way filling both sides of the tank (clean and dirt sides) with salt water, shaking the living bejeezes out of it, rinsing with fresh water, and repeating a few times with fresh water until big nasty clumps of **** fell out of the tank.
