SOURCE: cannot install windows
Hi, check what amount of RAM you have. XP can be loaded at 28Mgb of RAM but is more succesful at 256Mgb which is the recomended minimum. The ideal amount of RAM for XP is 512Mgb and I believe you can never have too much RAM.

Most of the applications that you have specified above use high amount of the memory. If you are using vista this makes it even worse. Get another 512MB RAM and install it in the next DIMM slot and it will be alright. 512MB Ram should cost you around 500-700Rs.

Windows should find and install the latest themselves, try letting it do a driver search online to find the latest.
Otherwise get from the manufacturer. Try here:
The chipset drivers should do it.

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem
if you are having trouble with your drivers
here is a general look at the drivers and how to update them
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question mark?or exclamation mark ! or red x
right click to reinstall drivers or

ports(com&lpt)right click update driver
