Question about Presto HeatDish Compact Heater

1 Answer

Presto Heatdish noise.

The heatdish makes a constant noise like it had been bumped when it was working OK. I had it turned on and left for a few hours and when i returned the bumped warning was going off. It is now continuous.

    Remove 115 VAC [power cord.

I just fixed mine. I had a broken wire inside the wiring box. My unit is a few years old and there was evidence of a loose connection that finally arced through a lug connection and it fell off. I had the same issue as you. Now the unit is quieter that it has ever been. I think it came from the factory with one of the wires not connected securely. I removed four screws from the 4 X 6 inch cover that give access to all the wiring and warning switches. I also found a switch mounting bracket that was loose, so check it over good. I have pictures of all my effort if you desire them.

I know the metal dish has to be dust free, clean. Beyond that you may want to call their customer service number 800-877-0441 for more help.

I have a 2008 Saturn Astra Xr its making a grinding noise what could it be if it's not the brakes or rotors.

It could be worn out constant velocity joints, if it is noisy only at slow speeds, and turning makes it happen too, get them checked asap.

Bumping on carriage returns

There is probably a build up of belt fibers in the carriage drive motor gear. (look inside on the left side where the belt is looped around a gear...there will be a reddish substance in the gear teeth causing the bump. You can clean the gear teeth out, but the belt is wearing out and needs replaced asap. There are some you tube videos showing how to do this, but it takes a few hours to do it correctly, so you may want to have a professional do the job.

Rumble after hitting a small bump in the road

need a little more detail here.
Rumble from front? rear? left or right side?
And shake in the steering wheel?
How big a bump and how fast were you going?
Was the rumble instant after the bump?
Is it constantly making the noise or now and again?

I had a constant grinding coming from front passenger tire. Replaced Caliper and put the worn pads back on for a day, the constant grinding went away. It would still grind while braking, hitting a bump

It sounds like the brake pads are metal to metal, when you turn the flexing of the wheel makes them touch the rotor and grind. This can rarely be caused by a badly worn wheel bearing as well, have both brakes and wheel bearing inspected.

There are a few suspension parts that can cause knocking noises. Such as swar bar loose, strut mounts going bad. You should really have a shop do a complete suspension check.

Kenwood Receiver KR-V127R - left channel not working

Select an input that is not connected, for example select CD with no cables going to the CD input on the backside. Will you then hear equal humming on both channels? If so, the amp stage is ok,
and the problem lies in the signal level circuitry.
Open the cover and use a plastic (insulated) stick to touch suspectible cables and components. When the sound returns, you've found the cause. Resolder or reseat the component/cable/card.
Use the insulated stick, NOT your fingers!
