Repair or replace your corian countertop or use acrylic sheets to bring life back to kitchen Looking to update your kitchen and do some modeling? Chances are the old formica countertops are looking aged, worn, and stained. But thanks to new options in countertops, customers now have colorful options to choose from or supplement their favorite look by using acrylic sheets as a backsplash around the kitchen. These days acrylic sheets also come in every imaginable color, so finding something within a chosen color palette should not be difficult. Acrylic sheets are durable; they look nice, are non-porous, are extremely high-density and seem to copy the look of real marble countertops. Plus, acrylic sheets are cheaper than other countertop options.

SOURCE: the pump turns over real hard - it is an older IR with 5 hp motor dual head tag is missing

Bottom line if it is so hard to turn that it's blowing fuses it has to be disassembled. you will probably find a bad bearing on the crankshaft. However it could be a broke valve that has gotten between the cylinder and piston. either way a disassembly will be needed.

I have a badly damaged front break disk on a Colt Clubcab 4x4 2.8TDi 2008 model.

I tried to repair mine and it cost me more as I had to get a tow in and have my mechanic repair it. if you don't know what you are doing don't touch it. I could repair the older cars but not now.

Singer model MZ deluxe dress maker. #06899 teal and white. My husband oil the motor trying to help. I have now read that is a no no. How do i get the oil dried out?

Probably the best thing you can do is find a manual for your machine and follow the maintenance instructions. Some older mechanical machine motors do need oiling, so don't panic yet. The other thing is what kind of oil was used and where was it applied? AVOID using 3-in-1, WD-40, cooking oil, or old stinky sewing machine oil.

Some older motors have brushes and belts that should not be oiled. If the motor has been damaged, you'll probably just need to bite the bullet and perhaps have it serviced. Wiping out excess oil may or may not help.

I have automatic 2001 Ford Explorer sport trac bought from USA, the car did not run since i received it because it does not move when i put the level to D nor R position.

What you can try is to start the vehicle, put it in Neutral, press on the brake, and while doing that press the 4x4 Button and hold it for 5 seconds. If this does not help, you will need an Owners Manual for Year specific information.

You want to reset your Transfer case from being towed to Run. It sounds like your unit was switched to the current Mode for transit. Another idea is to contact the Tow company who delivered it for advice on this setting. Even if you used a Tow dolly yourself, I imagine the towtruck drivers would need to know how to switch this setting when they tow an Explorer themselves.

This Tow mode is used to enable towing the SUV behind a Motorhome. The Automatic transmissions need lubricant on the seals or they will burn up. The Tow mode disengages the Transfer case and keeps some of the parts from turning. You need to look at Year specific information because of the difference in Automatic transmissions. For a short time, there were engine options which included a different transmission for better mileage with bigger engines.

The older models needed a Tow dolly and the newer models can just use a Tow bar on the frame.
I hope my opening statement fixed your problem. Should you want to Tow your SUV behind another vehicle, you will need to use the Tow feature.

I keep getting conflicting answers. We're getting ready to buy a 2007 or 2008 Jeep Compass. Can both the 2WD and 4WD be towed behind an RV, with 4 wheels on the ground?

  • You can tow any front wheel drive manual transmission vehicle as far as you want and as long as you want. As an added precaution, you might want to consider a lube pump or axle lock to ensure that no transmission damage will occur.
  • Most 4WD vehicles with a manual transmission, manual transfer case and manual lock out hubs can be towed on all four wheels safely with no problems.
  • If your 4WD has no manual lockout hubs and/or no manual transfer case, then you will need a coupling device on the rear drive shaft to tow it safely
  • Before moving the towed vehicle, check the following: transmission fluid level is full, release the parking brake, start the engine, shift the transmission from Park to Drive, shift from Drive to Neutral, turn off the engine, leave the key in the Accessory (I) position, make sure the radio and all accessories are turned off.

The steering system can be damaged if the steering wheel is locked. Always leave the key in the Accessory (I) Position to prevent damage to the steering system when towing behind another vehicle.

Some recommend starting the engine and shifting the automatic transmission (if so equipped) through the gears approximately every 500 miles and shifting from Drive to Neutral before shutting off the engine.

Safe towing of a vehicle with four wheels on the ground behind a motorhome can only be done with a supplemental braking system including a break-away feature.

SEVERE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DAMAGE WILL OCCUR IF THE CAR IS SHIFTED FROM REVERSE TO NEUTRAL AND THEN TOWED WITH THE DRIVE WHEELS ON THE GROUND.

You can avoid certain kinds of handling problems by making sure that your vehicle is towed with the tow bar as close to horizontal (parallel to the ground) as possible. This prevents your vehicle from "riding up" or "running under" the back of your coach during hard stops. It also avoids excessive stress on both the hitch receiver and your vehicle's mounting brackets.

Most newer vehicles will not add miles to the odometer while they are being towed. Such vehicles have an electronic odometer which will work only if the key is in the "on" position. If your vehicle is an older model and does not have an electronic odometer, you will need to have a Speedometer Disconnect to keep miles from adding up on your towed vehicle.

Never ever back up with a vehicle attached to your coach with a tow bar. Backing up is the most common way of damaging your tow bar or towed vehicle.

IR Receiver is bad.

Here are the parts for your model available for purchase from vance baldwin. I'd suggest you give them a call and ask them whether they have the IR receiver (or the chip that the IR receiver is a part of). Since they have more parts for the newer model and older model, they may very well have other parts for your model, or the parts for the newer\older models may be compatible with your model.
