Question about Amana AER5515QA Electric Kitchen Range
My Amana oven model--AER5715QAW will not heat. After replacing the heating sensor and having upper heating element tested...fine. Found the lower element was bad. placed upper on the lower for a test and worked great. Next day bought a new lower elemet and once again nothing. what do we do now? Thank you
There should be two screws at the rear of the bottom panel inside the oven. Remove those and lift out that panel. The element is under there. If there is not enough wire to pull thru you may have to disconnect and reconnect the wires to the element from the back of the oven by removing the back panel. Hope this helps.

No matter that the igniter glows you must measure the current... If the current is less than 3.2 or 3.6 you must change it (this current is for the igniters with rectangular white base). The current to open the valve is the same that passed through the igniter so if it doesn't reach the proper value it will never open (or sometimes open sometimes not).Mine is not opening and the current is 2.9 so I'm going to replace it tomorrow.

not a sensor, but more likely a bad oven ignitor(glow bar) its located under the ovne floor and mounted to the side ofthe bake bar. simple emough to unscrew and unplug, replacethepart yourself
