My son seems to have changed the language setting on the Wii PES 2008 game to French. The packaging shows that five languages are available, there is nothing in the manual to show where the language setting can be changed. The Wii console and other games are still in English so it's just this game. Any ideas on how to change the language setting back to English?

Ok, i just figured this same problem out. When you get to the main screen press 2 then you should have 4 options to choose. Pick the bottom right one. After doing this you will have to pick the top selection then the 2nd one in the little box, this will switch the text language. Have a good day.
There is a software bug in the programme. When you reach November and you are No 1 in the rally points, save the game BEFORE you click on the next month button (which will take you to the Credits and then the start of a new year. Once the game is saved, exit the game and then change the language on your WII console to Spanish. Load up the game in Spanish and click on the next month button. Once you are through the credits and into the start of the new year, save the game again and then exit and return your WII console settings to English. It's a bit of a performance, but it does work.

If I understand it seems like you are restoring default settings which erases your selection of Top Shot style. You don't want to change back to the default settings. The only time you acknowledge to select the Top Shot style is when you confirm and leave the CONTROLS option screen.
[i think you're a fann of harry potter!]
THIS IS MY SOLUTION IT MAY OR MAY NOT WORK
please confirm whether you have two or more remotes. If no t,hen buy. You can get remotes from the respective dealer from whom you bought your Wii from. If you already have two remotes then press the home button in your remote and go to Wii remote settings. After going there you will find an option called "reconnect". Reconnect allows you to disconnect and reconnect your remotes. For reconnecting press 1 and 2 simontaneously in your remotes one by one. Then if your remote is in good connection it will show the charge and player number of your remote. If it doesn't show then you must change the battery or the remotes themselves.
