Bad caps in the power supply. Replace all bad cap or replace Power Supply Module. If you choose to try and fix it yourself yourself will need a ESR Meter to check the caps in circuit. Let me know if this helps.

I have recently brought the same TV and had the same problem but I've mangaed to find a soultion.
The automatic setting for Blu Ray on PS3 is Full HD (1080p) but the Acoustic Solutions TV is HD ready (720p). For PS3 games it will automattically change settings for you to 720p. This is why this works straight away but Blu Ray doesn't.
You need to plug in your PS3 using the scart contection, then on the ps3 menu go to settings > display settings > HDMI. You will then need to attach the HDMI cable and manually set up
HDMI by checking the 720p option and deselect 1080p.
That should then play Blu Rays too. You don't lose too much quality as 720p works nearly as well as 1080p on smaller TVs.

sounds like inverter board. What it sounds like is happing is your LCD is working ut the backligkt board that allows you to see is kicking off. (as you still have sound) Which could be the (most likely) inverter board, or the power supply board. You can take apart and check for voltage at your power supply. Power up with the center back cover off and check your voltage at the white connector on the power supply before and after the screen gos out. If there is no large voltage loss it is your inverter board.
You can used boards on e-bay or

The black screen problem of your TV can be attributed to a backlight driver failure, busted backlight, or LCD driver failure.
The flickering indicates a failing backlight driver or a failing backlight. The screen should be totally black, without any glow, when either of them is not working. To verify, grab a torch and shine it on the screen. You will be able to see a faint display telling you that the backlight is busted or the backlight driver is faulty. If not, the LCD driver or the LCD panel itself is faulty, although it has a low probability due to the symptoms of the problem. The only way to fix the problem is replacement of the faulty part. You may need the service of a qualified technician to determine exactly which one is the root of the problem that needs replacement.
