Question about Compaq Evo D500 PC Desktop
I have four Compaq EVO D510 computers that all have the same problem. They are used computers that were pulled out of an existing site. I have a USB mouse & keyboard connected to the computer (no ps/2 inputs). These work at the boot screen but stop working after windows loads. Have have tried numerous keyboards and mice and different combinations of usb ports with no luck. I have also tried enabling and disabling the network server mode.
Just read this carefully as you will get a problem to your solution.
My Computer ->right click ->properties ->hardware -> device manager -> in last you will find USB controllers -> unistall all the usb controllers one by one. Restart the machine and your USB devices will be working fine
