SOURCE: o Windows cannot be installed on this computer with the current system BIOS version. Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update, install the update, and then start Windows installation again

Update BIOS And Chipset Driver - How To

Go to the website of your computer manufacturer and select your computer model (this is usually done in the Support section). You should have the option to download drivers and BIOS for your model. If there is a newer version available download the BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS of your computer - every computer is different so I can't give you exact directions. Updating the BIOS can be risky - follow the directions carefully and do not unplug or turn off your computer. If possible also update the chipset driver

hope this helps

How do I run a set up program

Generally, one enters the BIOS Setup screen by pressing either F2 or Del. There is usually a message on the bottom of the first boot screen that indicates what button is correct for that model.

Looking further into the details that you have given, it seems that your CMOS battery has died, so you will need to replace that. (This is what is causing the "Time of Day Not Set" message most likely.) You can get the appropriate battery at Radio Shack (if nowhere else) for about $5 or $6.

I removed my battery from my Dell Dimension desk top, waited and then put battery back in and started my computer.

When you removed the battery your computer lost all of it's configuration settings. You have to go into the set-up menu and and select the devices that are installed on your computer. Such as floppy drive, CD drive, DVD drive. Also have to set date and time.

Acer aspire one kav60 restore asking for a password.

how to reset or clear the BIOS password is to physically remove the power from the computer by disconnecting the power plug and then removing the Cmos battery for 30 minutes from the motherboard some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in
Another way is to reset the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard itself. Both of the 2 methods mentioned works because most motherboards use a battery to sustain the BIOS/CMOS settings for the motherboards PROM chip. So by cutting off cmos the battery power, the BIOS/CMOS settings will be erased
or if using XP

Press f2 to enter the BIOS while you see the Dell start up screen. Once in there you shoudl see an option to load BIOS defaults. Load defaults. This should take care of the issue. Are you sure that you replaced it with an approved CMOS batter, You cannot use a watch battery, even though they are the same size it won't work.
