ive tried to get down there long ago, but was afraid of breaking something.

I have done this in dodge a mini van
same set up
disconect the battery
reomve the 4 / 10 mm bolts from the back of the steering wheel for the airbag.
lift the airbag from the wheel.
remove the plug in for the bag.
then there is a 18 mm bolt for the steering wheel nut to remove
then you need a wheel puller to remove the steering from the shaft.
then you will see the brass contacts on the clock spring.
this you Will see built up with hair and dust and will need to be cleaned.
reverse to put back together.
not to many parts.

Throttle sticking on 2001 dodge intrepid

I would spray some WD-40 on the throttle cable, also, you may need to clean the throttle body and throttle plate, sometimes there will be some carbon build up that will make the throttle plate stick in the throttle body, Gumout and an old toothbrush works good.
