Question about Garden
When trying to speed up the engine, it wants to die.It has been"tuned up" each year for the past two years and runs fine for a while and then starts doing the above again. At thirty dollars a tune up, I'll soon have more in repairs than the original cost.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

[The previous posted solution was garbled by the forum software.]
I was thinking about purchasing this product from Amazon sometime soon (today being 4-26-2008). However after reading of the above problems I am not so sure anymore. However I did find a discussion about this problem at the Ryobi forums at " http://184.108.40.206/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=112&topic_id=597 ". (If the link does not work go to " http://220.127.116.11/dc/dcboard.php " and do a search for " 597 ". One of the displayed threads will be entitled "weedeater problem?" It will have the proper link to the discussion.) From the multiple postings in that thread it appears that the switch is the problem and it seems to be a consistent problem for many users. The switch itself can be replaced for less than $4, however the shipping seems to drive the cost up to anywhere from $12 to $15, unless one can find a local supplier. I hope that this helps.

The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve is clogged. This part feeds air to the engine at start-up and idle when the throttle bodies are closed. I removed the throttle body assembly from my 2001 RX300 and separated it from the IAC. After a good cleaning with throttle body cleaner the IAC was good as new. I later decided to replace it during routine maintenance. You can pick up a brand new IAC on eBay (genuine Lexus/Toyota part). The dealer will want upwards of $400.00 for a 45 minute job (all you need are basis hand tools).

Hi Tom. You are not doing anything wrong. That being said, your edger has a slightly gummed up carbeurator. I would go to an auto parts store and get a can of a product called seafoam. this is a gasoline additive. Add one ounce per gallon of gas and use this as the fuel for your edger. You will solve your problem in just a few minutes after using this product, I believe. Give it a try and let me know.
