Can't get ilo tv to respond to remote

It is very difficut to get a substitute remote control for your ILO TV. Anyway try these codes with your present remote control. These codes are with AT&T U-verse remote for ILO TV. The codes are:
1412, 1435, 1436
If these codes does not work with your ILO TV, buy one AT&T U-VERSE remote control. It will match for it. OK.

Be sure that the TV code is correctly program on the remote control, you can find other brand of universal remote control but before buying be sure your TV brand is included there.

It is highly unlikely that if you had the code book that there would be an Ilo code. You have three options:

Option one is to purchase a high end universal remote that has an auto search feature for the correct code, since Ilo is unlikely to be one of the offered codes. Ilo does not build their own tvs, but vends out manufacturing of the sub assemblies and puts their name on it.

Option two is to go online directly to Ilo and purchase the original remote. Be prepared for sticker shock. Original remotes can be expensive.

Option three is use an external tuning system to your tv such as a cable box or vcr which will allow you to change channels remotely using the remote that controls the device. Many cable company boxes have remotes that also control the volume and on/off functions.

My husband and I looked for months and couldn't find a universal remote for the Ilo...but finally we found one...Sony (RM-V210). We got it for about $10.00.

Buy an rca universal at wal mart (model rcr312w) $8.00 fix.  Just follow the Auto Scan instructions, it worked for my 26" ilo today.

iLo Tv's are made by orion. When I used their code the Tv remote worked.

I just purchase Sony universal remote, say's it works for ILo however it does not. Contacted customer service, can't help.

Hey you should try finding an exact replacement for this ilo hdtv. If you have your model number for your ILO hdtv you can go to a website like http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com and look through their catalog for a new replacement remote control, which is the exact same remote you got in the box with your ILO TV and should work right out of the box, unlike most universal remote controls. If they can't help, there are alot of other major replacement remote companies out there! Hope I helped!

Some more suggestions to see if your remote control has just lost it's programming is try unplugging your television and taking the batteries out of the remote control for atleast 5 minutes. If this doesn't work, or you've tried tvtek's advice up top and you still can't get your remote control to work, I would try ordering a original replacement remote control for your specific television. I would not recommend purchasing a universal remote, because half the time the problem with it not working could just be caused by it using the incorrect code. If you go to a site like http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com and look through their site for the exact model number of your television and purchase that remote control than you'll have a good idea if it's the remote or the television. Most likely you'll find it was the remote control!
