Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
The 2 flashing red lights may indicate that there is a hardware problem
with your Xbox 360 console. The main thing that causes the 2 red lights
to start flashing is because of overheating and as the motherboard
within the console takes more heat it actually warps and bends until
the solders become loose.
Once this happens you will receive the 2 red lights. Even before you get the 2 red lights you may have noticed your games freezing and this is caused in the same way, by overheating. As the chips take more heat they shut off to prevent lasting damage, although they can only do this a number of times until you get the Xbox 360 2 Red Lights.
To fix the problem you need to stop the level of heat the motherboard takes and you can do this in a number of ways, but it will involve opening up your Xbox and working on it. In addition, you could always send your Xbox back to Microsoft as they are offering free repair for this error, you will just need to wait 3-4 weeks that's all.
There is one more option available in the form of DIY Video Guide, that will explain you step by step approach to fix red ring of death within one hour without any technical knowledge.

This problem may occur when the Xbox console is too hot or is overheating. The flashing lights mean that the internal temperature of your Xbox 360 console has exceeded acceptable temperature limits.

You have an over heating problem. Google "Air Flow Box" or search ebay for it. This will greatly improve the air flow in your xbox 360 you will also get parts and thermal compound to do the X-clamp fix. With a little luck and if you havn't fried your console you will have it up and running again no problems.

Unfortunately there is nothing that you can directly do to fix this problem.
You have a hardware failure. Microsoft will repair your unit for you under warranty / recall.

If your xbox is making that ring around your disc chances are you are playing your xbox standing up, if you lay the xbox down on its side this may fix the problem atleast it did for me. And as for the the midnight club freezing all the time it is still doing this on my xbox, copy the game to hard drive, and it should deffinitly limit the game from freezing, it worked for me.

the red ring of death means you have a bricked XBOX.
something has gone wrong with the hardware inside, and you need to take it back to the shop you purchased it from, so they can replace it under warranty.this is not an unusual problem to encounter, but unfortunately, can only be repaired by qualified repair specialists. the best they can do for you, is either swap out the hardware and give you a new box, or they send yours away and you wait the 4-6 weeks for it to be repaired and sent back..
