Water leaking under a fridge freezer

There can be 2 reasons for this ... the first is that the machine is causing condensation and is dripping on to the floor. Automatic defrosting fridge freezers do this but usually the quantity of water evaporates before any is on the floor.

If the Fridge / Freezer has an automatic Ice maker, or has a cold water supply, then I would suggest that there is a water leak to the system. In this case, find the water supply feed and turn it off to eliminate this as the source.
If this stops the leak, then either the supply is leaking or the problem is inside the fridge / freezer and you will need either a plumber or a repair man to fix the problem.

Why does my whirlpool ET25DQ refrigerator leak water?

If your refrigerator has automatic defrost, the defrost water should drain from the bottom rear of the interior into a drain pan underneath. The pan may be missing or damaged or something could be preventing the defrost water from draining into the pan

There is compressor sound problem in godrej pentacool refrigeratore

Im taking that you have a fridge that works fine you just have a noise that is bothersome. The easiest way to correct vibration noises is by pushing on the compressor or surrounding coils until you find the offening spot of vibration. You can buy damper pads but you can use a piece of cardboard wrapped in duct tape. Fold it so it is thick enough to wedge into the area that is vibrating to get rid of the noise. good luck

My GE fridge is leaking water on the freezer side

Hi,

This would be due to the defrost drain being clogged. The automatic defrost cycle melts the frost on the evaporator every few hours and the water from that is suppose to flow down a drain tube, if the drain becomes restricted the water will leak out the freezer door. Here is a link to some instructions I put together on how to clean it out.

Leaking water from the actually fridge over the floor.

manually fully defrost unit, clean all vents /drain pipes
make sure door seals touch all round(no air gaps)
use bicarb to freshen interior and dry as best you can
then switch on and hopefully,if unit is working normally,enjoy...only place cold food in fridge to minimise ice build up.(some fridges have a drain vent in the centre bottom of door to allow water to drain when defrosting

Ice build up condensation will not drain down the tube to the catch pan under the refiridgerator. As much as 3 inches of ice will build up between the veg bins, causing mold builup in fridge, Model 550...

I had the same problem but fixed it recently. The problem originates with the drain trough mounted on the back interior wall of the fridge that slopes down into the middle. The drain tube is attached at this point and runs to the pan under the unit. This drain trough is screwed to the interior and sealed with silicone caulking. Over time the caulking breaks free from the interior wall of the fridge allowing the defrosted water to leak past the trough, collecting in the bottom of the compartment under the veggie drawer. It freezes there building up an ice ***** that eventuallly wraps around the drain tube. Any water that now runs into the tube freezes in place over time forming an ice plug preventing any drainage at all. Now the defrosted water begins to flood the interior of the fridge eventually leaking out which it did in our situtation.

There are two solutions. One is to take off the drain trough, clean it up and the interior wall of the fridge. Also thaw out the ice plug in the drain tube and make sure it is clean and drains freely. I used hot water and a syringe to inject it into the tube until the ice melted. Dry everything off. Reattach the drain trough using silicone caulking approved for kitchen/bath use. You may have to shut down the fridge and warm it up to meet the application temperature limit of the silicpne. The other solution is simpler. After cleaning and drying the drain trough, I applied an adhesive backed closed cell foam rubber gasket (3/16" thick automotive) to the back surface of the trough that sits against the interior wall of the fridge when in place. When screwed back in place, the gasket is compressed preventing water from leaking past. The fridge does not have to be warmed up for this fix. It has been in place for a few months now with now problems.
