This error means that some component(s) or chip(s) on your motherboard have gone bad. To get this problem fixed you will need to have a new motherboard installed in the computer. From this point you have two options. You can contact the manufacturer and see how much it will cost to have this done (or any repair shop) or you can upgrade to a new system. Depending on how old the current computer is it might be more worth it to cut your losses and run.

Does any know how to fix a CRC1 error on an IBM laptop? pls help.

if you get this for a CD/DVD disc, your disc is bad...if you get this error on your hard drive, it means your drive is failing.

try to backup your data if possible and you will need to replace and reinstall all software. if the data is critical I recommend going with Drive Savers or another reputable recovery service.

MY laptop beep twice and flag error code Bad CRC1, stop POST task

Hi,

sounds as if one of your memory modules is defect.
CRC stands for Cyclic Redundancy Check and is a form of checking the memory.
If you have two modules inside, take on out and see what happens.

Best regards

This problem you may not be able to fix. There are a couple of things you can try.
1st Keep on rebooting your laptop until this error goes away.
2nd Replace the BIOS battery, it maybe nearly worn out. After replacement you need to go into the BIOS setting to set the Date & Time.

Crc1 error

That means that the data is corrupted somehow. It could be a damaged or bady written CD/DVD, or it could be data corruption on your hard drive, depending where the program is.
If it's on the hard drive, reinstall it. If it's the CD/DVD, you will need to get a new one, most likely.
