Question about Toshiba Satellite L25-S1193 notebook
My toshiba satellite needs to be restored to orginal factory default setting. How do I do this?
One of two ways Recovery Partition, or the Recovery Disks. Take a look at this procedure: http://www.ehow.com/how_7617197_restore-discs-toshiba-satellite-a55s1063.html, That should get you started.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You can follow LavaTech's instructions to set the machine to boot from the cd, and you can load any retail version of windows. You will have to go to http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp?nav=Product%20Support
to download and install the device drivers.

Use the Recovery CDs that came with the system. If you no longer have them, order them through Toshiba. Here's their website:
Hope this helps.

Turn the computer off. Hold down the F8 key and turn the computer on.
The advanced boot options should appear. Use the cursor keys to select "repair my computer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you need anymore help please post back.

a couple of ways to do that 1) if you have the recovery CDs supplied with the PC - then you can use these - put the CD into the drive and when it boots follow the instructions 2) If you have a recovery partition on the laptop - have a read here to see if you have one http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/outFrm.jsp?ofId=AskIris&searchString=recovery+to+factory 3) This link shows you how to use the partition http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/bulletinDetail.jsp?soid=2291088&pf=true basically as the PC boots TAP F8 key - from the menu that appears choose "repair your computer"
