Avoid Scratches

IPods can scratch very easily (especially the black ones). To avoid scratches, buy a case for your iPod and use it. You can also print iPod Tattoos using HP Tattoos.

which case is best for ipod touch 5G

I personally go with the Otterbox for everything, a fantastic full case it is thick so if you drop your Ipod it won't break, and it even has a screen protector so finger prints and scratches can't get through!

Is the iPhone 5 scratch easily?

Yes it is!
Apple replaced the backplate material from corning glass to anodized aluminum. Aluminum is a softermaterial than glass, so this means that everytime the iPhone falls on the floorit scratches. People complain that their new iPhone already looks like its warnout and old. I guess it gives it a vintage look&feel...

Do I install any software to start my 30gb video iPod?

Yeah. Go to apple.com- click ipod plus itunes, and click download itunes. And its totally free to download it. Then you have to buy a card at the store, scratch off the silver part, go to itunes store, click redeem, enter in the code that you scratched off, and you are set to buy music, videos, podcasts, etc.

ps:if you run out of money on your card and you cant buy another one yet, or you dont have a card yet, you can make purchases thru a credit or debit card (which is why it asks for credit or debit card info in the beggining)

My ipod will only work while plugged into the docking station

If the part is stuck inside the iPod you can take the case apart quite easily and remove the broken part. If this is not the issue and I am way off please do let me know :)

Top Case Removal Begin by using a flat tool to separate the white plastic front case from the silver backcase. You will need to stick your flat tool into the crevice, work it down into the crevice, and then pry up so that the casing separates. Apply enough pressure so that your flat tooldoes not slip and scratch your iPod!Continue separating the casing by gently prying up all the way around the unit. It shouldbe much easier to pry the casing apart after you get the initial corner started.
