SOURCE: frameless shower door sticking to the opposite wall when closing

you can fix this problem by loostening the clamp screw and putting locktite sealer(you can purchase locktite from hd or lowes locktite is not the only product you can call a glass supplier and as for recommendation) Be sure to read the directions on the tube I use it to seal joints on refrigeration threaded parts. Make sure it will adhere to glass and metal also review the clean up solvent when you do this place a wood wedge at the bottom of the glass dooor and the threashold to support he weight until the sealer driese

Steps

1 Place wood wedge/block under door where non hinged side meets wall

2 losten top hinge(inspect bottom hinge to make sure it is snug and the glass dor is all the way into the hinge

3 You may have to remove the top hinge completely to get enough of the locktite on the metal and glass place the locktite on the hinge flat plate and the glass

4 recheck gap where door meets wall( I sometimes use paint stirs(wood) as shims to keep space between door and wall consistent

5 tighten top inge screws( you can put locktite on the screw threas also

6 Clean excess locktite and wait suggested time by instructions on tube

Good Luck!

SOURCE: I have a new frameless glass shower and every time

It sounds like you have something caught up in the hinges, or in between the door and the opening. I would have whoever installed it come back and fix it. As a general contractor I would not be happy with myself if I had installed it and would like the opportunity to redeem myself if it was not done correctly.

curved cut glass will not always be the exact dimensions though they may look identical there should be several set screws on both the door glass frame and the shower glass frame that can be loosened and reset to make the door fit and close and open more properly without seeing the showwer itself i can not tell you exactly where they are but they should be either visible or behind a facade piece of metal frame

How to fix a home interior pocket sliding door?

Hello: You first have to figure out
what is causing the problem. You usually have to open
up a section of the wall or remove the trim. Most of
the time, it's something that has just worn out, or a
screw has come loose. It's difficult to tell you
exactly how to fix it without looking at the situation.
It depends in part on the age of the doors and on the
type of hardware they have. Older hardware is
usually cast iron, which sometimes will break. But I
would say that about 90 percent of the time it's a
loose screw that has broken free. In that case you've
got to remove the side trim and get into the wall, or
get the door completely off and fix it that way.

The inside shower door is uneven, making it come of the hinge after moving it more than 4-6 inches. The metal attachment holding the glass is lower than the other ones. How do I get it even so it slides...

The top rollers should have adjustments on them to bring the door to horizontal as it swings accross the track.

Start with door in the middle and adsust by seinging it to both sides.

I installed a new bathtub bypass shower door and the outside glass doesn't slide smoothly. It seems to bind in the middle of the bottom support track; it moves, but not as freely and quietly as it should.

Please clarify - you said it's a pivoting door but also said it doesn't slide smoothly - can't really do both at the same time. If it's a typical bypass sliding door then you should be able to make an adjustment to the hanging brackets on the offending door to raise it up off the track. If all else fails the header track can be raised thereby making the doors hang higher and off the track attached to the tub surround.

Shower door off track

It's usually best to take the OUTSIDE door off in that case; and start from the INSIDE, then do the OUTSIDE. The track wheels MAY be reversed on IN/OUT, so watch how they hang in the track. When everything is off, it's a great time to scrub out all the "yuck" that grows down in there. Once that's all cleaned out, rehang the INSIDE door and get it going smoothly, then the OUTSIDE door. You're all set then.
