This only happens when optimum amount of RAM is not available on your computer.

Since you have not disclosed the config of your computer, I would recommend you to increase the RAM on your computer.

Thank You.

Then there is a problem with your windows installation.

This usually happens when the windows system files are corrupt or there is a problem with DirectX files....plz check up with your GPU one also.

My cordless mouse is very slow

When you say 'very slow', I'm assuming it is slow to respond to movement. Does the mouse pointer behave this way if you use a wired mouse? If so, your problem is something in your operating system. If not, you may need to move the transceiver closer to where you use your mouse, or perhaps put it in a line-of-sight with the mouse.

New cordless mouse slow to respond to "click": cannot control or direct movement: jerky, sporadic. Is this because I do not use a mouse pad?

mouse pad would help but you may have a virus so go to windows help and support and download the windows defender and run it, there have been a lot of bugs affecting mice lately however do try to use something that has a surface on it that would make the mouse work better if it does work better then buy a mouse pad next if it's still slow you can go to control panel and sped up the mouse and also into tools Internet connections and change the mouse properties there.

Mouse continually skips around. I changed batteries, reset it and everything. What's wrong?

You have the tracking speed set too high.Go to 'start'-'control panel'-'printers and other hardware'-'mouse'.After opening mouse you'll see "pointer options",click and you'll see "pointer speed".Move the speed down from fast to slow until you can see it easily. The other thing is if you don't have enough RAM memory it won't be able to keep up with simple hand movements.Click "start'-right click"computer"left click"properties"and up will come what you have for a computer will be displayed.Near the bottom of the page will be RAM,to it's left is how much you have.XP you need at least 512MB(1GB is better-up to 3GB best)Vista 1GB minimum,up to 6GB with Vista x64.Adding Ram is the easiest way to speed up a sluggish machine. Please re post if you'd like to get into changing setting for best performance.

Mouse suddenly not moving very well, and takes a long time or extra clicks to respond

There are several things that this could be. First, let's suspect the mouse itself. Make sure it has fresh batteries. If it's rechargeable, make sure it's charged. Be aware that rechargeable batteries WILL stop working at the end of their life. Another easy fix to clean the movement detection mechanism. If it's a ball mouse, take out the ball and clean the rollers. The dust will probably be wound so tight around them you'll think it's a rubber washer or something, but you can pick it off with a little trouble. If it's an optical mouse, clean the lens with a dry cotton swab. If this doesn't fix the problem, try plugging the mouse receiver into a different port on the computer. Check your computer for viruses, spyware, anything that might be slowing it down. Check to make sure you have the latest drivers installed if necessary.

Cursor and keyboard movment responds very slowly

Does the slow movement of cursor and keyboard seen only on excel? Given that your excel is not corrupted, it just could be the file size of the worksheet you are working is too big. But if the slowness is present even on small excel file, you may consider re-installing your excel.

But if the slowness is present even on other application, then the problem could be on your pc itself.
