Well its clear you have a nasty short somewhere, problem is with no schematics for this set how will you find the problem much less get the correct part?

Might be better to shop for a different board to replace this board with.

ohh I see, I wasn't sure if this was a common problem with these tv's and a common part that could be replaced. Would I be able to pull up the schematics online or is that something that the manufacturer has? Or would i be able to find this shortage with the right tool? Normally I would go out and buy a new board but I am running a little low on cash at the moment

My amp blew one filter cap and some transistors and some mosfets.I replaced all 8 filter caps and transistors and the mosfets, but the protection led stays on. Where else do you think I can check? Your

You have what's known as DC Offset(a bad amplifier) you will need to check the drivers and all the fuse type resistors that are open. You need to check the rail voltages, both positive and negative, at the amplifier. You can't "shotgun" parts. You will need to check them. Be sure to reset the amp to factory defaults, but I doubt that it will help in your instance. This will be a tough repair if you're not an Audio Technician. You will need a Variac as well. Orange light on vizio no bad caps

You may be buying a main board, only a few guys in the industry even bother servicing main boards. Outside of a bad cap, fuse, or regulator its time to replace the board. If you have standby power, and you're not getting the "PS ON" signal from the main board, your main board is bad!

My bx1021 speakers just make a low bass sounding buzzing noise when I turn them on. The volume is all the way down and there is nothing plugged into the aux or audio inputs. I unplugged the power and...

The ripple filters on the power supply probably blew.
Look for electrolytic capacitors connected right after the bridge rectifier.
Chances are they will be bulged at the top, leaking at the bottom, or completely missing (exploded).
Replace the filter caps in the power supply, and you should be good to go.
I suggest upping the voltage rating from the originals.
IE - if the original caps are 16V, use 25V caps of the same uF rating.
Check the bridge rectifier too, to be sure none of the diodes went bad.
If any of the diodes in the rectifier are bad, you will have to replace the diode, or the rectifier if it's a 4 post rectifier module.

You should look at the circuit board for the power amplifier and check for any leaking or bulged electrolytic capacitors. If this speaker uses the circuit boards made by AMI (such as most JBL and Mission sub woofers around 1999-2001 vintage) they had a lot of problems with this as well as bad modules. Google for the module S53AMI and you will find lots of info if this is what you have in that Athena.

With certain Samsung models, not only do the capacitors go, but the MOSFETS will go as well, possibly a fuse. The MOSFETs are the big bulky black things with a silver tab and three legs. Should be between the capacitors and the transformers. Just pull those both out and test them (Google "test MOSFETS") One is probably bad but they must be replaced in pairs.

Wont stay on, the button lights up green for a few seconds then goes yellow. I have tried different cables as well that was no different

The problem can be in three places: Power supply (look for bad caps), inverter circuits (shorted MOSFET/Transistors, caps, inverter transformers), lamps (bad soldering works on the lamps end connection).
See example of failed monitors due to bad caps, transformers, lamps:
Post back what you see inside, main thing you will need are good soldering and mechanical skills and tools, and some electronic knowledge.

Well my ACER AL1916B LCD monitor blew up.

The MOSFET that blew up will more likely to have the switch mode driver IC that went out with it also, you need to verify that the IC is good otherwise you will blow up the new MOSFET, you may be better off buying a new board from here:
By the time you order the new MOSFET and other parts it may end up more han $35, just a suggestion.
