No error code is being triggered, If you are using a box do not forget when you remove power to the TV also remove power for box and set at same time, other than that may be a main board issue.

Me I would to rule crazy things out disconnect everything going to the set except a DVD player and sit back and see when it fails, I am just wondering if something coming in is not triggering this, these sets have pretty good detection and if shut down show a error most of time.

Not sure if any of this will help but felt you deserved some thoughts at least.

hello SD tech, and thank you for your fast answer. i tried all of this. i have a panasonic SA PT 460 conected to my screen with HDMI for DVDs on HDMI 1, then i have a PS3 conected also with HDMI on HDMI 2, and for the digital sound i use an optical fiber cable from PS3 to SA PT 460 , that is it. it feels wierd to me that besides the ps3 a home cinema (SA PT460) would create a problem knowing that i used this same set up for about 4 years now... what i should say is that i live in DR wich as tons of power shut downs and other surges almost 3 to 4 times a week, wich is hard to handle for any electronic sets. now, since everything is working fine for at least 2 hours everyday :D (ridicoulous), i thaught maybe it could be a faulty capacitor or transistor or even resistance would be the problem, i opened the back panel cleaned every single things very good till the point that there is absolutely no dust nowhere. left the panel open just in case of overheating issues. i don't have test tools to check my capacitors or resistances but they don't look swollen or burnt, i know it doesn't mean they are ok. anyways thanks for your answer hope to find a solution this is getting on my nerves a little :), hope it's not a board to change cause putting 200$ -300$ to change a component on a 900$ valued plasma from 2008 is a little harsh, i hope to find answers, take care.

update on my plasma screen: did a hard reset on the screen (-vol control on screen + menu for 3 sec and unplug outlet to finish process), big thanks for your advice SD Tech because the fact of just plugging only my PS3 in HDMI 1 (i use sound through the optical fiber, so nothing else is conected) after the hard reset, its now 1 in the morning here and i've played games and watch a bluray as tests, did my image set up again, and the set is still working ! the set use to last 2 hours tops. now it's been 4 hours it's running. hope it stays that way. thank you SD Tech, it's nice to see people, without even meeting them, contributing to help others on this very helpfull and cool site, FOR FREE!

SOURCE: Panasonic TH-50PZ80U tv, error- 2 blinks

1. Reseating the connector P25 may solve the problem. If it does not.
2. Unplug the unit andd disconnect the connectors A5, A6, and A7. Apply power to the TV. If a White screen comes up and all voltages check normal, replace the P board.
3. If the TV stays on after isolating the SC board, then replace the SC board and the D board; it is likely that the fuse on the D board is blown.

There is a blinking red light next to power button.Panasonic tv will not turn on.

1. Subject
Information of LED Flashing timing chart.
2. Contents
When an abnormality has occurred the unit, the protection circuit operates and reset to the stand by mode. At this time, the
defective block can be identified by the number of blinks of the Power LED on the front panel of the unit.

Hopefully it eventually stops blinking after unplugging set from the outlet, otherwise claim your Nobel Prize for wireless energy transmission.

I have a Panasonic plasma TV model# TH-42PX75U --- here is a link to Panasonic web site for this model...

Unfortunately your going to have to have it serviced by an Authorized Panasonic Dealer. Independent shops will not be authorized to order parts without the consent of Panasonic. They are rough to deal with.

Tv wont turn on< red power light just keeps blinking?

I have the same thing. Just started blinking 10 times. Pretty much had to unplug the unit over night. Could never turn it off and then turn it on again.
This worked for about a week. This morning, tried to turn it on after being unplugged. Still blinks.
Called Panasonic. they attempted a couple solutions, nothing. Suggested authorized repair shop.

Blinking red light

Same problem with TH-42PZ700U. Took the plug out of the powerstrip and stuck it in the wall outlet and no fix. I will call Panasonic tomorrow. Thinking it might be a heat issue, cause it has been working again after it cools down for 20 mins. Only had this unit since 10/4/07.
