Your speaker wires may be disconnected from the sound board. See diagram 15 at http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/toshiba-satellite-p105/take-apart-2.htm . It's pretty easy to peak into the case when the front case screws are removed.

First of all, I assume that your new LCD screen is compatible with theold one. Different screens require different video cables. Make sureyou new screen is compatible with your laptop.

your sound drivers from windows xp doesnt support windows 7 look up sound driver and trouble shoot buy right clicking it.
