SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: PC max screen resolution far below optimum of

I personally doubt you have a 2.1" monitor, since I have only seen 2.1" monitors in cell phones xD. Maybe you were trying to say 21".

Second, try to be more specific. Tell us your OS, graphics card, etc so we might be able to bypass useless questions.

Now to your problem, first of all make sure your graphics card has its latest drivers, if you have ATI or Nvidia card then you should look at their website, or look at your card's manufacturer website. Then, and only then, right click on the desktop and click on preferences (personalize under Vista). Then go to display settings and once there select your resolution. The best setting is usually the biggest resolution that appears on the list, though ONLY if your card got its proper drivers. If not, you will get a bunch of *probably* incompatible resolutions. Hope that helps.

Unless there is problem inside the monitor, you should try this monitor on another PC to see if the resolution can be set at another PC.

Samsung SyncMaster S24B300 is not in optimum mode of 1920x1080 60Hz as it should, but in 1360x768 ocasionally is starting up in 1920x1080 but most of the time in lower resolution mode, could FixYa he

Using our onchip Intel graphics we experienced the same problem, where the aspect ratio was displayed wrong using the native resolution of 1920x1080 at 60Hz while black bars show on the left and right side.

The problem was partly solved by using custom timing settings as you can find below:
Front Porch: 90 and 19
Back Porch: 148 and 22
Sync Width: 42 and 4
Active: 1920 and 1080
Scan rate: (auto 67.5) and 60

Then you just have to move the image down a couple of pixels using the buttons on the display.

Samsung SyncMaster 2233SW Monitor "Not

The "native" resolution of the monitor is the "optimal" resolution -- it looks best to use this resolution.

So, right-mouse click anywhere on your Windows desktop "wallpaper".
Click Properties.
Click Settings.
Move the "Screen Resolution" slider to the recommended settings.
Click Apply.
Click OK.

The optimum resolution for this monitor is 1280x1,024 @60Hz.
The resolution setting is done at the PC not at the monitor.
After 5 years, more likely components failure will be the filter caps in the power supply section, that will be the first thing to look for inside. You can see failed SAMSUNG monitors here:
