It comes standard with a parallel interface so you need parallel to usb interface cable.. to connect to laptop... if it has an optional ethernet card installed then you need a cat5e crossover cable... if the crossover cable doesn't work then you need a network switch and two cat5 ethernet cables...

It depends on what laptop you have. the fs680 only has a parallel connection so your laptop needs to have a parallel port or you need a usb to parallel converter.

Just bought a Kyocera FS-1030D laser printer. what do i need to do or need to connect it to my laptop. have power cable but no disks

I looked up the specs this has a usb 2.0 interface so you need a usb printer cable. it has a parallel interface but this is an older technology and your computer most likely does not have a parallel port.
you need to download the driver see http://www.kyoceradocumentsolutions.eu/index/service/dlc.false.driver.FS1030D._.EN.html
windows os may have a driver already.

My Kyocera printer won't turn on and is giving me an error CFB31. How can I fix this

This is a communication problem between the Panel PCB (don't know which one) and the controller PCB (I suppose this the main PCB - Difficult to say because i have the info in German and have to translate). Symptoms are as you said a blue, or black screen. Possible source of fault is Panel PCB, controller PCB, or connection cable

The display just indicates the default interface. If you have everything connected properly and send a print job to the printer it will automatically switch and print out. The default interface can be changed but there is no need to for your application.

Kyocera KM-1620 as a printer??

Yes, it can be connected as a printer -- see this page where you can download the print drivers:

http://usa.copystar.com/americas/jsp/Kyocera/download_center.jsp?pid=11917&pcat=10564&rcid=10009&rscid=10007#bottom

However, it may need an optional interface attached. Check the back of the machine to see if there is a USB port (the squarish one). If there is nowhere to plug in the USB cable, you may need to buy the printer interface option.

Kyocera 4530 is reading offline

I would check the usb connection cable - maybe try a different one. 'off line' normally means that the computer can't communicate with the printer. Silly thing - check that the printer has power. I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but sometimes it's the simple things that get missed.

Network or usb cable

Look on the back of the printer. If it's possible, you'll see a USB connector that looks kind of like an arch or doorway. If so, use a USB A to B cable to connect it to your PC. Make sure you use the drivers for a USB connection when reinstalling it.

How to clean the printer inside

You can use an aspirator to clean the printer inside, and if you have a little experience you can clean the blade inside the cartridge with isopropylic alcohol, and the drum too. How many times was the cartridge refilled?
