I am having the same problem with one of mine. I changed the fuse and it is still doing it so I guess it is not the fuse. If you find out anything can you please let me know? If you had the ATG Gold MG8k Flash Kim X3, then your 430EX II or 580EX II can transforms into wireless radio ATG ETTL II.
If you are using the outdated wireless IR ETTL with a 580EX II as a Master. Then you have to set the Slave (ATG/580EX II/430EX II) body facing close to the Master.
More info needed: Will the flash fire when you push the test button? Have you rest the camera you're using to factory defaults while the flash is mounted on the camera and turned on?
sometimes there is no manual included in a new ex150 but there is a CD or DVD with some instructions .. not much in the way of how to make things work but safe use and assembly and simple setup .. here is a bit of information that might help:
2. Holding button Resume (the red triangle in ring), include the printer (press the button Power ) - an indicator fires green cvetom.
3. Holding button Power , release the button Resume
4. Not releasing button Power , two times press the button Resume and release both button.
5. After indicator of the cut-in/readiness flashing.. and fires constantly, fall into service mode.
6. Four times press the button Resume , under each striking Resume indicators are switched: green-yellow.
7. Once press the button Power for acknowledgement of the selected action (the unset of the counter абсорбера). For switching off the printer button Power press once again.
Hmm...I can't find a software control either. When the flash is down there is a cross through the lightening mark in the upper left portion of the screen, and when I press the flash button and raise the flash the same lightening mark in the upper left has no cross through it. Do you have the same mark? Does the flash button have no effect upon the mark?
Hi Guys!
I have had the same problem on CT-1 s and CT-5s.
In both cases the flash cable (called PC synch cable) was to blame. If flash fires correctly with the test button on the handle, then cleaning the cable contacts with contact cleaner spray seems to be the best first step.

Gerard
