The machine comes on lights are lit, but no water enters. If I manually put water in it pumps it out but does not fill and continue the cycle.
The countdown continues even though nothing is happening. If I press scrub/delicate to cancel the 'CL' shows but the motor continues to run until I open the door.
When I ran the diagnostics I got '6' which is supposed to indicate that it has a 2 fault and a 4 fault. The motor continued to run, unchanged, during the test.
When I change to different cycles the timer changes the time remaining but the motor continues to run with no fill.
I can't tell from this if I have a control module failure or a switch problem.
In this case it turned out that water in the pan under the float switch (left side) had water standing that was interfearing with it. Dried oiut the underside and it's working fine. Going to keep a watch for additional water (indicating a leak) , incase it wasn't just an isolated case.In this case it turned out that water in the pan under the float switch (left side) had water standing that was interfearing with it. Robert. You have a bad water valve OR completely clogged up filter screens on the valve. My past experience with this machine with this type of problem is to replace the valve assembly. part Number W10364988
cycle is, fill cycle for 1 minute first. If there is not water entering the unit when first turned on, look for that issue. Water turned off, water valve not working or some restriction, clogged water filters, etc. That is got to happen first. Don't over look the bin stat being bad. Nothing happens if teh bin stat is bad. It sends voltage to the control board that runs the unit.
You should select hot water (the third button from the right) and the display should say "hot water" at the same time it is saying VENTILATE --- open the steam valve all the way and the pump should start and you should see water from the steam wand.
If you don't hear the pump at all, then that is a different problem.
If you do hear the pump but still don't get any water with the steam valve open, then you need to prime the pump by using a turkey baster or the accordian pump that came with the Titanium to pump water into the valve where water from the tank goes. Remove the tank and use the turkey baster to pump water into that valve while the pump is running and the steam valve is open all the way with HOT WATER selected. the second water starts to come out the steam valve you want to stop the pump (turn the power off or turn the steam knob shut) and put the water tank back on and make sure there is plenty of water in the tank - then start the pump again by opening the steam valve all the way and let it pump water out the steam wand for a few minutes.
Sounds like a drain motor startup capacitor, or stuck pump. Try disconnecting power and turn the water pump manually. Some disassembly required. Then after a few good hand spins replug and try again.
sounds like you need to prime the machine. check the manual for those instructions. if (like us) nothing happens, then read on:
johnshami had this solution on another post, and it worked for us when
the manual's instructions to "prime" the machine resulted in no water
leaving the tank to enter the machine:
make sure the water in the tank is stone cold -- which is a no brainer since it
will not heat h2o unless it's primed.
take off steamer wand cover, turn the steamer knob clockwise till pump starts.
then s*ck (as you would on a straw, with your lips sealed around the end of the steamer wand) the tip of the
end of the metal tip hard until pump stops
may need to do it a couple
of times. yes this seems crazy, but it works! you are
flushing out the vapor lock in the pump.
Hi, I am the new owner of a used Asko
Cylinda 10504. The last owner briefly demonstrated
the washer starting a wash cycle and entering the agitation cycle of the wash
before stopping and pumping the water out and spinning in a final end
cycle.I bought it.I had the machine installed turned it
on and cannot get it to go through the wash cycle. After starting at #1 it goes through a perpetual spin cycle
of sorts--water and soap soaking the drum and laundry but not enough water to
fill up half way or less.It stops
at number 4 on the program knob sits on a red dot (next to the #4) and does
nothing.I then manually move it
to the next cycle and it repeats the spin cycle again until I have advanced the
program to the end.No wash cycle
no rinse cycle.Nothing.When it advances to the red dot I wait
for at least 5 minutes before manually advancing the knob. The instructions say that I should get
the water pumped out by turning the program knob to #7 or #9 but in both cases
it just spins and does no empty or finish in the end spin cycle of several (9?)
minutes.Nothing but banging and
spinning.The water seems to get
into the drum as well as the detergent but nothing else is happening. No mater where I start the program it
spins and sloshes soapy water, pumping almost nothing out. Any suggestions short of putting it on
the curb or paying a kings ransom to fly a tech out to look at it? MY GUESS. It seems that it is repeating the same
brief cycle over and over.During
the move to my house the electronics re set(??!?!?) and now need to be set to
the normal mode after being re connected? Can you help? Blessings, Douglas
I have a schaerer opal coffee machine, when I switch main power machine on, the descaling indicator, cleaning/rinse indicator and stand-by mode indicator lamp remains lit, and a pump runs continuosly. the machine do not ready mode indicator. Yudi INDONESIA
need to remove the lower panel below the door and unscrew the big white cap and clean out the pump pluged up this will fix the problem beware all the water in tub will run out on floor if hose coming from pump is not pinched closed
