It will be noted in the web admin page of the router. Different makes and models have different access, so check your manual for access instructions.

Where would i find the ssid number on my kyocera cell phone?

An SSID is the name assigned to a wi-fi network. It CAN be a number, but is often an alphanumeric name or value. Unless your phone is being used as a wi-fi hotspot, it won't have an SSID of its own, but it will search for and list SSIDs of any wi-fi networks it finds in its range. That list will tell you whether the network is secure (requires a passcode) or unsecured (open to anyone). Unsecured networks should be used cautiously as they can be havens for hackers bent on stealing anything they can find on your system. If you choose a secured network to connect to, you will need to know and enter the passcode of the network to connect.

I unplugged my router for doing some small maintenance work. When I plugged it all back together, my computer says that new networks settings were detected, and I couldn't get online. Obviously there's...

Using IE, go to and log in to your router with
user name admin
password (leave blank)

Select Wireless and select your SSID (Network Name) and then set up some sort of Security and set your passcode. You'll need this passcode to log in to your router. This should get you up and running.

My computer is not recognizing my signal its connecting automatically to linksys unsecured signal

I assume your network is NOT this Linksys --- have you set up your router yet? If not, use your browser and go to and log in to your router. After the login, go to your Wireless section, set the network name (SSID), and some security as well. I prefer WPA-PSK[TKIP] for its simplicity to set up. Access via wireless will need whatever passcode you set here. Your network should show your newly-named network now. Connect to it with the passcode, and you should be good to go!
