My computer thinks my pny 32GB USB 2.0 flash drive is a disk

My Pny USB 2.0 FD USB Device is coming up as a disk drive from having a partition put on it after it being formated to FS=NTFS through command prompt and i do not know how to reverse it.

Could be you don't have enough rights or is right protected, especially if the format was on a another account. Both can be checked by right clicking.

All pen and SD cards show up as removable hard drives. Removable or not they can be treated the same. You can format again just by right clicking on it, or use diskmgmt.msc to fully manage via the MS management console.

It's basically doing the same as you did from the cmd prompt.

If you asking to restore files, then you require a 3rd party software. There is Recuva (free), Wondershare, and Stellar. They all do the same thing.

Pny Attache 64gb flash drive will not format correctly

You can go to Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management and try to format it from there. You may need to delete the partition that is on there and create a new one. If you are still unable to format the drive correctly, contact the manufacturer and request a replacement.

Hi
Please follow these steps
1. I think its not a problem with flash drive.
2. There should be virus in your computer.
3. Please install anti virus or if it is already there update it.
4. I think that virus is deleting your files in the flash drive.

I am trying to download a WMA Audiobook from the library site Wilbur, but it says that my PNY USB 2.0 FD USB device is incompatible

if it doesn t read your card. Its because the computer or labtop can not read HC high capacity cards. it will read a 1 GB or 2 GB but anything above will not be read. check on card if it has HC you need new hardware or a regular sd card.

Pny attache optima pro 8g usb drive disk space problem

Yes, and Perfectly too.

What you should do is,
depending on your operating system,
Right-Click on 'My Computer Icon', then select 'Manage'.

When you get to Computer Management page,

Click on Disk Management on left hand side,

This will display ALL the disks installed on your system, either partitioned or not partitioned, formatted or not formatted.

Then go to the ones that are hidden, not created, or not displayed, right-click on it, then you'll see different actions that you can perform.

Also, in some instances, what you just need to do when you get to this page is to assign a new, distinct, drive letter apart from the ones already in use on the system.

This will automatically bring out the hidden drives.

Hope I have helped you out.

Goodluck
