Question about Singer 7430 Sewing Machine
All steps for cleaning have been taken, it still catches and as a result the bobbin thread does not get picked up by the needle. Moments before it was working fine. The needle broke on a pin and the thread got tangled up. I removed all the stray thread and replaced the needle with the exact same kind of needle I had been using. Any thoughts?
When the needle breaks on a pin that can cause a
problem with the timing, the machine needs to be serviced

It sounds like it is not threaded properly through the tension disc. Try rethreading and make sure the presser foot lever is in the up position. If it continues, once threaded and with the presser foot down, pull on the thread through the needle. If it has resistance, it is threaded properly. If it pulls easily then there is a problem in the tension area. Check to see if there are peices of thread broke off in between the tension disc.
