Question about Computers & Internet
The CRT f 11 on startup Dell Logo doesnt allow me to do a PC Restore. it takes me to the password again, I tried it over and over to no avail, also cant do a windows xp CD retore, it takes me back to the login with password
What I usually do is re-enstall the operating system. Set your BIOS to boot from the CD drive with the first re-boot set your BIOS to boot from the hard drive. If your BIOS allows it you can also boot from a flash drive. What I've been doing for the last decade or so is partition my main hard drive in several partitions, having the windows install (along with all my other software and drivers) on a different partition than the operating system. This way after you reformat your c: drive all your important files are protected and available on another partition and if there no operating system disk or flash drive, you can always install from DOS.

what that error means is that a system 32 file has either become corrupt or removed, many factors can perform this issue, only option you have is to format the hard drive and reinstall windows.

ok so what you do is,turn of the pc and turn on, while your pc is starting up when the screen is black and has the flashing bar keep pressing F8 until it askes you if you want it to start up in safe mode, say yes. then when it gets to the log in screen it should say "administrator as one of your users click on it it should not have a password. then you need to go to the start menu>run...>type in "cmd">you should come up with a black box. now type in these exact words "net users", press enter. now type in "net user "put the name of the user you want here WITH the apostrophes" * (make sure to put the star there!) it should ask you to type a ew password for this user, now type what ever you want as the password, press enter. DONT FORGET IT!!! now close the box and restart you computer and use that password you put to log on to the user!!! hope this helps!!! =P

1.) remove the side panel
2.) locate the battery on the main board and remove it
3.) make sure the system is unplugged
4.) press the power button and hold for 10 seconds
5.) replace battery, plug in and power on.

First thing you can try is:
1: When booting up the laptop Press F8 until you see a screen show that has an option to boot in "Safe Mode"
2: Once it has finished booting up you can Select Administrator and hopefully there is no password set.
3: If there is no password set then login as Administrator and goto "Control Panel", Select User Accounts and change your daughter's password to something she wont forget ;p
if that fails then you can try this
Offers a program that resets your passwords.
Hope this helped.
