The problem seems to be occuring while on the spin/rinse cycles. It is leaking from the front left side. This is a little less than a constant drip. It doesn't appear to be that much water. It just is enough to make a bit of a mess once the cycle is complete.
I first noticed the problem after a load was a bit off balance. So I thought that may have caused the leak. But after doing a load last night, it appears to still be leaking. Any suggestions?

Is it leaking from the tray top left corner? Mine was because it was not level. IT was level left to right but not front to back. The front was lower than the back. Raised both front feet, no more leaking.
Thanks for the quick responses.Pulled front cover, ran a load on high level, no leaks .Ran a load on super level and when drum spins when full of water water level rose and poured out of left front side on top of drum. Pulled plastic ring on top of drum and and found piece of seal missing where leak occured .Ordered upper tub seal, should solve problem
When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it. Good luck!
my lg and others with the 1814 model, seem to have the problem also, watch the back side whenit goes into the rinse cycle , on mine @aout 7-8 minutes left. mine was blowing out suds and water through what is an air vent , i think. if lots of models hav this problem, we might be able to get lg to do something.
Sounds like my 91 Geo Merto LOL!
Anywho when it washes the pump spins one way and water is basically thrown back into the tub, then when on spin it spins in the opposite direction and if there is a hose leak past the pump or the pump itself leaks it will come out of the drain system.
As for the thump, check under the unit for anything that shouldnt be under there getting caught up in the mechanics.
Let us know :-)
