SOURCE: Problem getting HP Photosmart to recognize digital camera memory card

From what read of the specs, the C6100 does not support SDHC cards, only SD cards. SD cards top out at 2GB; what you have is technically an SDHC (High Capacity) card, which does not work in SD devices.

SOURCE: I have a HP PSC 1610 All in one printer and I

If using the Card Reader -

The HP all-in-one has detected an error with the memory card.

1. More than one memory card is inserted in the HP all-in-one.

2. An incompatible camera is connected through the camera port.

3. A memory card is inserted and a digital camera is connected at the same time.

Solution:

Remove and reinsert the memory card. It may be inserted incorrectly. If the problem continues, the memory card may be defective.

Remove one of the memory cards. Only one memory card can be used at a time.

Check the user guide that came with the camera to see if it supports PictBridge. If it does not, try using the cable that came with the camera to connect the camera to the USB port on the back of the HP all-in-one instead of to the HP all-in-one camera port. If the camera does support PictBridge, make sure the camera is set to PictBridge mode. See the user guide that came with the camera for instructions on how to do this.
Remove the memory card or disconnect the camera. Only one can be used at a time.

You might try the following - Reformat the memory card in the camera or format the memory card in a Windows XP computer by selecting the FAT format.
Hope this helps!

I receive a Card Error message when I try to take a picture. I have replaced the batteries and have a new sim card.

hi,
either your memory card or memory card slot have snags, if you checked with another memory card then the fault should be in memory slot, just look inside the memory card slot with a flash lite if the contacts is bent, if it is bend or shot circuited, open the camera and make it straight with a tweezer tool. if any dirt or dust inside, try to clean it with an air blower then spray some contact cleaner in.

When i insert my 4 gb micro sd card into my celfone and i set to external memory, it flashes insert memory card. Just after it was inserted into a wrong slot in other celfone.

Hello Sir !! Welcome to Fixya !! There are two possible reasons for this error.Either memory card is corrupted or your cell phone memory card slot is got damaged.
  1. IF your memory is got corrupted then you can troubleshoot your memory card by inserting in another phone.If it is not working then your your memory card is got expired.There is nothing you can do.
  2. If your memory card is working then your phone memory card slot is damaged.You can get it repaired by your nearest customer services center.
If this works for you.Then please rate or token of appreciation will be esteemed. Rizwan.

THE CAMERA BRINGING A NOTICE ON A SCREEN ERROR CF.WHAT IS POSSIBLE THE PROBLEM.

Digital Camera: How to Fix Compact Flash Memory Cards ErrorIt is not very typical for compact flash memory cards to give you an error. If you do receive an error, it most likely means that a pin within your CF card slot is bent, or your CF card has become corrupted. Unfortunately, if your CF card has become corrupted, you will need to reformat the memory card, which means that you may lose any pictures that were located on the card.
Fixing Your Flash Memory Card

You will want to remove your CF card and the batteries. Take a look inside the CF card slot to see if there is a bent pin. If you find a bent pin, you can correct this problem using a very small and skinny flat screwdriver. Moving very slowly, use the screwdriver to bend the pin back into place. You do not want to use enough force to make the pin back in one shot.
The pin does not have to be perfectly straight, but get it as close to straight as possible. Insert your CF card back into the slow very slowly. You should see the in align itself with the card. You can turn your digital camera on to verify that the compact flash memory card is now working.

My memory stick is write protective and i can`t solve it. how can i solve.

Hello

OK, if the memory card itself is locked, you might sometimes get this error code. All you need to do is to take out the memory card and switch the lever on the left side to the unlock.

6c99e31.jpg

If the error is still displayed after you did the above, you might want to try the card in another camera.

If the card works in another camera . the problem is with your card reader in your camera.

If you open you sd slot and look inside with a sharp light , you should be able to see on the left side of the slot there is a little copper or spring steel lever switch. This switch work as follows:

1. When no card is inserted / no write protection , the switch is open and thus the protection is off.
2. When locked card is inserted , the tab is depressed and tells the camera that the card is lock.

Contrary to popular belief ,the little tab on the sd card is not an electronic switch and does not physically influence the card operation itself. If you put a locked card into a camera without a sd lock switch , you would still be able to use the card normally.

It is incredible difficult to fix this switch because of space limitations in the sd card. Look into the sd slot and if you can see the switch , use a needle to pull the little tab down toward the base of the camera by about 2mm or until it works being careful not to bend it.

If this does not resolve your problem , there might be a short in the switch circuit and the camera will need to be disassembled to resolve this error. This should cost no more than $50.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further information

Kind regards
Andrea

Error code 20000

...Actually it probably says error code 020000...flash test.
Other error codes: 6 digits in codes:
left to right digits;
1- Battery Test 0= Pass; 1= Fail ( batteries have to be good and in place even if using power supply (100000)
2=Flash Test/ Flash Charging 0=Pass; 1= Fail (020000)
3= IR Sensor Test 0= Pass; 3= Fail (003000)
4= Camera Mod Test 0= Pass; 4= Fail (000400)
5= Memory Test 0= Memory o.k. or no sd card; (000000) 5= Memory Full (000050) 6= SD card locked (000060) 7= SD card damaged (000070) 8= Comms Error (000080)
6= Clock Test 0= Pass; 9= Fail (000009)
ALL SYSTEMS OK= 000000, GOOD

WHEN PERFORMING THESE TESTS, FOR THE FLASH TO TEST OK YOU HAVE TO COVER LIGHT SENSORS small glass items each side of lens.If you still have error, install good batteries, power on, drop batteries out, turn unit off, reinstall batteries and turn on again....if all this, you still have error, you probably have bad flash unit.

HP C5180 All-in-one : Memory Card Error, No memory card in it

  1. Remove the memory card from the camera.
  2. Locate the memory card slot on the product that is compatible with your memory card. Figure 1: Memory card slot locations c01331721.jpg 1 - CompactFlash (I, II) 2 - Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard (MMC), Secure MultiMedia Card 3 - xD-Picture Card 4 - Memory Stick, Magic Gate Memory Stick, Memory Stick Duo (with user-supplied adapter), Memory Stick Pro 5 - Front universal serial bus (USB) port (PictBridge-enabled)
    NOTE: Some portable USB flash drives with a read-only partition, such as U3 smart drives, might be incompatible with the front mass storage port on your product. These partitions are added by the manufacturer and may include utilities and other software. Refer to the manufacturer for additional details about your drive.
  3. If it is not already on, turn the product on by pressing the power button (c01324469.gif ).

  5. Gently push the memory card into the memory card slot until it stops. The memory card does not insert all the way into the product; do not try to force it.
  6. When the memory card is inserted correctly, the status light next to the memory card slots flashes and then remains solid green. HP PSC 1610 All-In-One - Memory card Error

Pulling out the card without using the 'Safely remove Hardware feature' risks corrupting data on the card. Reformat the card in the camera. Also with compact flash it is a simple matter to wreck the some of the tiny pins in the card slot. Check out both these and come back
