SOURCE: Sighting in my scope

That should be covered in your manual.

If not, give Nikon a call.

Or, repost your question on a Bulletin Borad such as at SWFA, where another user may have the identical scope.

You have not provided enough information for us to help you. What type of rifle? What do you mean by scaling?

With the scope on 3 power you should be able to sight it in at 25 meters. Going to a higher magnification may cause blurring at that distance.

You also may have mounting problems that are causing the scope to move around when you shoot. Your rifle may be fine.

My reticle/crosshair has rotated by about 45 degrees anti-clockwise in my Simmons Deerfield 3-9x50 air rifle scope, is there a quick fix? Or is it a gun shop job?

You could do like my wife did on an old scope of mine, run your finger into it, but then all you see is clear. the olny thing you mght ry is to roatate the scope clockwise about 45 degrees or replace the scope. you might contact Simmons, they might replace the scope for you. Good luck.

Have no idea how to set up the sight on my air gun

I don't have this particular model. Chances are, those are not "knobs" but caps. Remove the caps as you would remove the caps from a pill bottle. Underneath, you should find the adjustment dials for windage and elevation,

Simmons 8x32-44ao rifle scope

Is that the "Prairie Master"? I think Simmons is pretty uniform in that range of scopes--elevation adjustment should be the top dial and windage is on the side. The zoom locking ring should be in front of the eyepiece, with the zoom ring just forward of that.

At 100 yards bullet walks left to right

I hate to say it, but it is the scope, they just don't have it. It is not just Simmons, but a whole slew of scopes for $100 that are hit and miss. A good scope is $500 and it won't move, You might get lucky and find a good Bushnell, or Simmons, but for the most part, just look at the complaints listed in here, all Taiwan scopes. You never see a Leupold complaint. Nikon is good, and so is Pentax. The old redfield was a good scope.
