Can I put a gforce video card in a Veriton acer 5700gx
Your restrictions are based on available slot size and version. So get one that fits PCI-e x16.
Could not locate PCI version so check your manual, because the slots are backward compatible. Meaning you can connect a Ver 1 card into a Ver 3 slot, but not the other way around.
Expansion Slots - 1x PCI-e x16 slot, 1x PCI-e x1, 2 x PCI slots

if you enable all of the options, the machine will not be able to power up because some of the hardwares are not installed.

Your modem in your computer is the 56K (telephone not broadband)
For your Local Area Network you want the network drivers. It will not harm anything if you download drivers for the modem or network because when you set up your local network it will internally switch of the modem and use the network.
Do the Broadcom -LAN and the Conexant -Modem

If your computer boots up fine, it should be be the bios battery. Flashing with the wrong bios usually makes your computer completely unusable (showing only a black screen), so I think this is not the case.
You will need a CR 2032 lithium 'button'-battery. If you havent got one lying around, try a local radioshack, photo supplies shop or watch shop.
Replacing the battery is pretty simple: remove all the computer cables, open up your computer (touch a metal part of the casing first to rid yourself of any static), locate and replace the battery on the motherboard. Put it all back together and voilà.
(the first time you boot up again, your pc will give another checksum error, but you should be able to set the time. On the next bootup, there should be no 'checksum error' message, and the time should be correct)

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA
the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they migh be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs all electrical power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket
