Question about RCA G32643SK 32" TV
On my G32643SK the picture is black but I have sound. It went out while I was watching it. It has be getting slower starting over the last couple of months.
If your TV uses the CTC 203 chassis or similar one, you more than likely have a loose solder joint on the horizontal output transistor base circuit. It's a little inductor (coil covered with red epoxy about 1/2 in. long). If this coil opens up or stops making connection, you lose the horizontal drive pulse to the horizontal output transistor thus causing the screen to go black due to the loss of high voltage.
