Phone is on silent mode I dont know why or how to change please help

Hello there
You didn't give us the model number of your phone but go on the web and get the user manual for your phone.

From this ,manual http://www.manualslib.com/manual/184646/Uniden-Dect1560.html#product-1560-2%20-%20DECT%20Cordless%20Phone

I got.....
Silent Mode
You can silence the ringers on the base and all handsets for a specific
period of time; the answering system answers any incoming calls without playing anything through the speaker.
With the phone in standby, press and hold #
on any handset. The phone prompts you to select the number of hours ( 1 - 9 or Always On ) that you want it to stay in silent mode.
To confirm, press # or just wait about 5 seconds. The phone turns on the answering system and displays Silent Mode On on each handset.

After the selected number of hours, the phone automatically exits silent mode. To exit silent mode manually, press and hold # again.
If the phone is in silent mode and you turn off the answering
system, the phone exits silent mode.

I am having a problem with my car starting. It mainly happens when in the garage and when its been sitting overnight. It seems to good battery. It ALWAYS does start, but only after trying it 3-4 times after...

if still under warranty have dealer perform fuel rail residual pressure test.probably defect w/pressure regulator /check valve in fuel tank.fuel rail does not hold residual pressure so when you start after sitting for extended periods it takes time for pressure to build up and vehicle to start.

Hello! I purchased a pair of M- Audio Av 30 speakers years ago and I've noticed that at times they emit an annoying buzzing sound from the subwoofer parts of each speaker. I normally dont notice it because...

LOL. This is a common, easily solveable problem. Remove your cellphone or anything that emits radiation of any sort from the general area. Don't believe me? send a text message while sitting net to your speakers. It does this even if you arent sending a message because your phone sends intermittent signals to the cell tower. the radiation being emitted from the phone does weird things with the magnets inside the speakers.

RINGING TONES ARE NOT RINGING AND MUSIC IS ALSO NOT PLAYING AND IT DISPLAYS VOICE ACTIVATED DIALLING IS ACTIVE BUT ITS OFF FROM THE FUNCTION MENU

your rear speaker is broken.

actually the pins that attach the back of the speaker have been squashed down and now are instead flush with the connector instead of touching it.
it is what we call classic Chip Creep.
(FYI http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chip_creep)

it is caused by putting pressure on the back of the speaker, and you will notice if you press in on the speaker hole, while holding the same place at the back of the phone , the sound will come back to normal volume.
some have suggested wedging a piece of paper in the gap between, but it isn't guarenteed.

so to fix it, you have to actually take off the back of the phone,
unscrew the 4 screws holding the front face plate to the main chassis of the phone,
and carefully pull it apart.
you will see the speaker near the top of the phone, it just sits there, with two copper pins sticking out of it, and it should sit against the female side of the connector.

you can unbend the pins so they sit in a L shape now, and reattach it back in.
and to alleviate the pressure, you can insert a piece of paper, card, plastic from an ID card etc, behind the battery which makes a bit of gap.

I hope this helps. i managed to get it working better without the paper insert, just by resetting the pins on the speaker itself.

Is there a common problem with something draining the battery when the vehicle is not being regularly used?

Batteries will lose power if they sit for long periods of time. It is a good idea to start the vehicle once in awhile to restore the charge to the battery. Batteries will lose their charge and it is not a good idea to let them sit for a long period of time, especially in the winter months. If your battery is older, it may not be holding a charge as good as a new one would.

The brakes locked up after the car had been sitting in garage for a long period of time. Any solution other than towing to service station?

i would tow it in after setting for a long period of time.have whole brake system replace like all brake lines and hoses.master cylinder- brake calipers-wheel cylinders hold springs and return springs -proportional valve.because moisture and rust set in. probably have brake failure if you dont replace every thing. i would take off rotors and brake drum clean them with 120 or 240 grit sand paper remove rust. if they look too bad replace them.also put in new brake fluid.

Hi, i cant get my Blaupunk Porto CD27, to manually search, it always goes to the main stations, i want to link my ipod/phone to it via the wiress itrip. so i need it to stop on a gap, for it to work,

Most of the time, you can hold the tuning button down for a short period of time and the display will blink, letting you change the tuning one number at a time. Then you can tune to a frequency to work with your adapter. Let me know if this works, hope it helps :)

No, the battery packs can not be ruined by leaving them in the charger. It is wise to keep both handsets charged up all the time. It won't hurt to leave them off the charger for extended periods..even several days. Of course, the amount of power left in any battery depends on at least two things: the amount of time since the last charge (yes, they do lose power just sitting) and the amount of use since the last charge. In this case, we are dealing with nickle metal hydride batteries and they do not develop a memory like nickle cadmium batteries do. Charge 'em up and just place them back there periodically or always. Not to worry.
