Question about Echo Cs3000

Open Question

Hi I have an echo CS-3000 and the throttle linkage keeps falling off. I've opened the aircleaner and hooked the rod back up to the carb and it falls off again. Is there a clip or something i'm missing? Maybe it needs to be bent a certain way?

Try rotating the "H" adjustment CCW a small amount.
Carburetor Adjustment by Madsens.com
http://www.madsens1.com/saw%20carb%20tune.htm
CW is leaner; to lean will destroy the saw. If over tightened closed (CW) the adjustment screw faces are easily marred; marred adjustments are difficult to impossible to set properly.
Clean the air filter; adjusting with a dirty filter can cause a run lean condition once cleaned and the saw run.

There are 2 wav (sound - idle & full – may not be highlighted) files that I find most helpful, I think you will too. HTH

SOURCE: ECHO CS 3000 chainsaw-while idling, shuts off if held on an angle

The idle speed screw may be set too low--adjust so that the chain stops moving, but the engine keeps running. Drain the fuel tank and see if the filter falls to the lowest point of the tank whatever the position. If it doesn't, replace the fuel line hooked to the filter as it may have lost flexibility. Hope this helps!

How to install a throttle cable on an ECHO PB-251 blower

throttle cable ??? should actually have a throttle rod that goes to a very short piece of cable. and this cable only goes from the carb to the throttle rod. the cable is actually easy to replace. it's only 3 inches long. the throttle rod or trigger requires removal of one side of the handle.

Maybe a sticking choke or binding throttle linkage. Have you lifted the aircleaner cover and looked down carb opening? Choke stuck?
Could be a simple idle speed adjustment also. What rpm's do consider to be high. Maybe some carb cleaner down the barrels and throttle linkage could free it up. Again, it could be a simple idle adjustment depending on RPM's it's turning.

I need a diagram for the path of the inner throrrle cable.

throttle cable goes around the metal guide and then under the wire loop and then push the ball up into loop, try your throttle to make sure it doesn't bind when it's hooked up... the cable will ride on the little round cover (metal) then set in the u in the rod from trigger. long as it moves freely and has the carb range , it's good

Homelite d630cd weedeater. the throttle line came unhinged where it attaches to the carbereutor so when I give it gas with the lever it does not open the carbereutor. how do I re-attache the line?

It is usually not very easy to reattach such a line because there are bends in the rod which are designed to keep the bar from falling out (as happened in your case). The engineering varies from saw to saw, however, removal of the throttle lever on the hand side is usually necessary.
When it has been removed, it can be removed from the rod. The other end may be turned into the carb connecter. And then the button turned back into the rod and installed back into the handle.
As you fix it, you might wish to tweak a bend so that it won't fall off again.
:o).

I have an Echo CS-3450 model... The throttle trigger has become disengaged somehow. When I depress it, no reaction from the engine or bar. Any ideas how to fix it?

the trigger is connected to the carb with a linkage rod. it has probably come off. usually you will need to disassemble the saw to get to it. not a easy job. some times best to take it to a shop

Idle to high

Make sure the carburetor was re-installed correctly as any air leak between the carburetor and cylinder will cause high engine speeds but almost no power. It can also scuff the piston/ring(s) and cylinder due to very lean lubrication from the fuel. Hope this helps!
