Question about Bushnell "Insta-Focus" Binoculars
Can't tuneup. I attempt to adjust by covering right barrel and using central focus, objects never come in clear, so I can't go on to cover left barrel and adjust the diopter either. Is there something else I need to know?

SOURCE: Insta-Focus focusing problem
first open and close the binoculars untill they fit you eye width, now adjust left eye with the flat section located on the center hinge, now turn right eyepiece till clear. note: once you have adjusted right eyepiece you only have to leave it in that position in order to focus from near and far.........good luck......email@example.com

they were famous for that, because the screwpin that holds the eyepice shaft is metal and the groove that it rides in is plastic, and eventually gets jammed....look where you put your fingers to adjust eyepieces. should be small metal plate in center of hinge(sometimes with bushnell logo) that will simply pry off by using small screw driver, and now you will be able to see if the screw is loose or damaged. good luck...firstname.lastname@example.org

The entire diopter setting eyepiece was off.I separated the eye cup from the rest of the diopter setting eyepiece, and aligned the channel guides on the lens piece to slide it into place. Then holding it in place, taking care not to gum up the lens, I experimented with how to screw in the retainer ring so that its white dot registered correctly. Finally reattach the eye cup and focus. It's like new!
