Try figuring out what language it went into and hit taht, if you are not able to figure it out, even by putting all the languages you should try restoring it. If you want to know more about restoring it go to http://www.apple.com/support/.

I have an ipod. Somehow I went to the menu and changed the language. Can you assist me in changing it back to English?

I have the same ipod, so i know where you are coming from. First go to settings. After you reach settings, the first thing in that menu will be "about". scroll down until you reach "language", press the center button, and the first language should be english!:) i used my ipod to figure it out, it is right here on my desk!

How do u change the language back to english

If you have an iPod nano or Fifth Generation iPod (iPod with video):
  1. Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it.
  2. Scroll up one menu item. This should be Settings.
  3. Press the Center (Select) button. This takes you to the Settings menu.
  4. Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it; in English, this is the "Reset All Settings" option.
  5. Scroll up to the third menu item from the bottom one. This should be Language.
  6. Press the Center button to select Language.
  7. Select your preferred language from the list.

If this does not work.

Reset your iPod—Depending on how much you've used your iPod since selecting the language, simply resetting your iPod may cause it to forget the current language setting, enabling you to select a new one. See "How to Reset iPod" for instructions.
  • Connected. Eject before disconnecting
  • Sync in Progress. Please wait...
  • Do not disconnect

Note: When you reset your iPod, all your music and data files are saved, though you may need to reset some customized settings.

It is in a foriegn language and I need it in English

I would hook it up to iTunes highlight the iPod Icon then click on Restore. This will Reset your iPod back to Normal and should ask you in the beginning what Language you want. Good Luck!

If you have an older iPod with color display (including iPod photo)
  1. Scroll to the fourth menu item in the screen and press the Center (Select) button. This takes you to the Settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it; in English, this is the "Reset All Settings" option.

Language change

Turn ipod on and hold the menu button for 1 second. f57f6a7.png  Scroll down 4 options until you get to settings.  Scroll all the way down to language which is 2 from bottom. From here you should be able to find the language you want.  English is normally the top option.  hope this helps ;)

Change the settings

i got one off ebay just a few fays ago and the language was stuck in chinese, so after just testing the MP34 i found out how to change the langauge into English.

Click into the 'two rotating items',
Then, go down to the 4th settings, i.e 04/11. This is Languages.
After entering that, click into the 2nd option. i.e 02/25. This is English settings.
And hopefully it should be done.
