How to rest a blackberry 8310

If you go to Settings>Options>Security Options>General Settings and then press the menu button to the left of the trackball, you should see Wipe Handheld as an option in the menu. This will wipe all data from the handheld and will, for the most part, restore the handheld to the factory settings. If you are/were set up on a BES, it won't remove the IT Policy.

I have no signal on my Blackberry 8330 Curve. I have reset it, taken the battery out, as well as the sim card but the signal still has an "x".

make sure it is compatible with your carrier. T-mobile won't work with AT&T and visa versa. All Blackberry handhelds are carrier specific

I need to remove my Email accounts from my 8310 prior to selling this BB.

You will want to do a factory reset of your phone. This will clear it of any user information you had put on your phone, and place it in the condition when you first bought the phone.

WARNING: Proceed with caution. A factory reset will result in the loss of ALL user data. It is recommended to perform a backup of the RIM BlackBerry data.
  • Scroll to and select the Settings icon (to select push the trackball in).
  • Scroll to and select the Options icon.
  • Scroll to and select Security Options.
  • Scroll to and select General Settings.
  • Press the Menu key , then select Wipe Handheld.
  • The device is going to confirm that the data will be erased. Select Continue.
  • Enter "blackberry" to confirm handheld wipe.

Blackberry 8310 no service

First, please download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.

If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.
