Excel is a spreadsheet program. You can do lots of programing applications with Excel. A more advanced database managing program within the Microsoft Office set is Microsoft Access. It comes with Office Pro and above. Otherwise it is sold separately.

The Excel and Word programs are part of the Microsoft Office suite. If you can borrow a copy from a friend you can reinstall the programs. If you have a backup of your system you can recopy them to your hard drive. Worst case scenario: You'll have to purchase the Microsoft Office CD. You might be able to find them on ebay or craigslist. There is no chance to rollback after uninstalling the softwares not only for office. What you have to do is you need to obtain a genuine office cd with serial key and again you have to install it.. If you dont have the cd try to download it from www.mininova.org its a torrent portal.
