SOURCE: Where is the 8-digit PIN number for the Linksys

I am guessing you are talking about the WEP/WPA key so you can allow a computer to use the wireless.

Click on this link http://192.168.1.1 on a computer hooked up to the router, if the wireless is not working, connect directly to the router via an ethernet cable.

You will be prompted for a username and password. If you have not already changed the username and password, the username will be left blank and the password will be "admin".

Once you are into the configurations for your router, navigate to the tab called "wireless", then navigate to the sub menu of "Wireless Security". The "key" you are looking for is listed right there.

SOURCE: My network setup is asking

If its asking for a pin number I would check the sticker on the bottom of the router. it may have the router PIN you are looking for. If not trying typing in your internet browser address bar 192.168.1.1 and find the network settings and see if there is a pin set up, if so write it down or clear it to have no PIN

SOURCE: what is the 8-digit default

I'm assuming you mean the IP address to access your router to change some settings

the default addresses for routers are usually depending on the brand

192.168.0.1
192.168.1.1
192.168.2.1

try each IP individually, you will be prompted with a username and password, unless you have changed it, they are usually
admin
admin

admin
password

Router label for Netgear r6250 does not contain PIN. where else can i locate it

There is no "pin" for this router. Instead, you need to connect to it via a wired connection from your computer and bring up a browser. Enter http://routerlogin.net in the address bar. The default user name is admin and the default password is password.
If you changed the defaults (which you should have done) there is a small hole in the back for a reset. This will remove any customization you have made and reset the router to the factory defaults. Then you can log in and set it back to whatever you had before.

Router 8 digit pin number

go into the router page at: http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.2.1 login then go to wps, thats the 8 digit pin. You can hack it using a rtl8187 wifi adapter, linux, aircrack-ng, and reaver-wps to crack the pin but it will take 6-8 hours from what I've read.

How can get the 8 digit pin

It should be on a label on the bottom of the router. I thought it was a 6 digit pin unless you put a manual pin on the router. at that point the only way to know for sure it to reset by pressing the reset button on the back of the router but be aware, that will remove all other information from the router and change it back to the state it was in when it was brand new.
Good Luck

Hi, I got a tp-link 8901g, but no pin code exists behind the router. Only there is a P/N on its pocket with 10 digits, while I need a 8-digit pin for configure my wireless network. What should I...

If you are configuring your wireless network for the first time there should be no pin required, if there is it should be listed in the manual of the device. If you received this router second hand then you will most likely need to perform a factory reset on it to remove any passwords the previous owner may have set. The default login to the router to access all of the router configuration is user: admin password: admin. To factory reset the router you need to hold the reset button with a pin/paper clip while powering the device on and continue holding it for 15 seconds after powering it back on. This should wipe out all configuration and let you back to stock parameters where you can access the router at 192.168.1.1 and use admin/admin to access and reconfigure your wireless settings from scratch.

I had the same problem and i think i remember how to solve it. When you are ready to enter the pin # (the one that has to be 8 digit long0, ignore it and instead click in the bottom part of the window where it say something like 'enter key phrase/password instead' and then it will ask you to enter one. The password is listed in the label on the bottom of the router. It is the long one under 'WPA-PSK." I hope that helps.
