Servis ecocare 1000, spinning to fast on aggitate,
Hi just asking if you have any idea what causes this, the motor spins to fast on agitate, it skips through the program faster as well, and it doesnt spin any faster on the spin cycle and it is very intermitant. It does this on all cycles. It also intermitantly jumps about! Has done this previously, but then sorted itself. Many thanks for any advice.

Re: servis ecocare 1000, spinning to fast on aggitate,
It sounds like the speed control is acting up that controls the speed of the motor..
This is usually built into the main control board, and means replacing the unit. the only other possibility , is if the motor has a thing called the tacho magnet, this is to be found on the end of the motor away from the drive pully.
What you are looking for is a round magnet about 20mm in diameter, if there is one, check to see if it is loose or broken as this can effect the speed of the motor.
Plz rate my solution.

Open the drawer at the top left of the front of your machine: you will see 3 compartments: right is prewash, middle is for softener, left is for wash. WATCH OUT- these machines do not need as much washing powder as the american models-putting too much soap could damage your machine and lenghthen the cycles.... I use half of what I used in my previous american washer.... do not be surprised either by the spinning cycle: before going full blown into spinning the machine has sensors that perit autobalancing of the laundry. You must not load laundry above 3/4 of the diameter of the drum.
Under the agitator there is a rachet mechanism that works the agitator. If it is stripped, it will skip until the next good tooth.. when it fails entirely the agitater will stop going back and forth. Its nylon and age along with overloading hastens its dearg.. If you can get the parts you can replace it yourself without difficulty. There is a single bolt in the center of the agitator top . Remove and loft agiyator straight up.
Hi, It is most likley that the coupler is bad. The coupler connects the motor to the transmission. If the motor runs and you get neither spin or agitate, this is the most common problem. If this is something you want to try and fix, you can go to 222.whirlpoolsurplusparts.com and there I have a detailed article on how to change the coupler.
I hope this helps you. If I can assist you further, please let me know.
My washing machine fills up fine, but then when its time to start aggitating and spin's it makes like a metal on plastic grinding noise, We would like to try to fix it ourself but have no idea which part it is. Could you please HELP?
many servis have an induction motor but later models have a brush motor. worn brushes will not cause an earth fault. suspect part of the motor windings are down to earth. also possible you have a leak in the tub or door gasket so that on spin, water is thrown onto an electrical item
