SOURCE: rennai gas unflued heater kerosene fumes

Have it checked properly - sometimes the reg won't open fully, but the heater will still run, but with improper combustion resulting in a funny smell.

SOURCE: i have a jonh deere

Hi Ivan,
These things can make ya gray in a hurry!!

The only thing I could tell you is that it seems as though the photo cell is not seeing the flame when the cover is down...When you lift the cover it will change the focus of the flame and that allows the photo cell either to see light from the outside or the flame changes enough to allow the cell to see the light...

Try changing the position of the cell and make sure that it has a direct opening to see the flame...

obviously this is not a "parts" issue at this is a matter of getting the parts to do the job they need to do...the cell is a safety and if it does not see the fire it will shut things down...make sure it can see the fire...

How to bypass photocell

It would be very unwise to bypass or remove the photocell on your heater, it is there as a safety control, if the heater doesn't ignite or while running unattended runs out of fuel, it will stop. Without that safety net it will just keep going, and the result could be disastrous. It would be better to cure the problem caused by the photocell, and then return to use with it the way the heater was intended. What was the problem??

I gotr a 98- 4L60E trans in limp mode & want to bypass neutral saftey switch. Can you help?

Bypassing the neutral safety switch won't help with the transmission problem. That switch is only wired into the start circuit.
Scan the computer for trouble codes. Has to be a code if it is in limp-in mode.

My kerosene heater keeps cutting out every 11 secs when motor is connected through pcb will run ok if motor is powered dirrctly

As you know you have bypassed the safety system and the "clean air" system.
Your problem could be:
  1. a defective board
  2. a defective photocell
  3. a defective nozzle
  4. an air leak or vacuum leak
  5. water in the fuel
  6. or as simple as the air pump pressure not being within 1/4psi within factory specs- which would cause the flame to be off-color- the the board & photocell would shut the heater down because of "dirty air".

I was using my heater and ran fine, I filled the tank up and put it in the back of my pickup and then the blower started and just quit. I checked the reset button and tried again, it won't start at...

Bypass the Safety Control (reset). If it runs replace the part. If it doesn't restore the bypass & move along the current path- see where voltage is getting and where it isn't.

Caution-- do not leave the unit running with the SAFETY CONTROL bypassed!

The Safety control feeds both the motor & the Ignition Control (transformer). According to your description neither is operational so it sounds as if the reset is either defective or has a loose wire.......unless the thermostat is defective or turned too low to allow the unit to cycle.

I have a 125T the fan keeps stopping I will turn

all heaters have safety swithches and should not be bypassed. it sounds like the fan is not putting enough air over the heat exchanger on this heater and a high limit switch is shutting it down. I would go to there website and with the model and serial number and get an exact replacement motor for it. This should be much cheaper than replacint the heater.
