Yes you can but you will have to disconnect the bypass wire every time heater stops so it can start again and then put wire back on

not a good idea you will have no safety

How to bypass photocell

It would be very unwise to bypass or remove the photocell on your heater, it is there as a safety control, if the heater doesn't ignite or while running unattended runs out of fuel, it will stop. Without that safety net it will just keep going, and the result could be disastrous. It would be better to cure the problem caused by the photocell, and then return to use with it the way the heater was intended. What was the problem??

I am having trouble getting my Dayton Portable Oil fired Heater Model # 2E218E to keep running.

May be the primary control if you already replaced the photocell. Make sure the photocell is in direct line of sight with the flame.

How do u bypass photo cell on r110 readyheater

The R110 is a heater using the older spark plug technology. In other words- no computer on board. This test will not work on heaters using the new Hot Surface technology.

Disclaimer- bypass the photocell for test purposes only. The photocell is there to prevent filling your shop with raw fuel in the event that there is a flameout.

To bypass connect a jumper wire between the 2 spades where the photocell normally connect.

Ready heater r110 I have replaced nozzle, filers all, cleaned sensor, runs some times for 30 sec shuts down

The R110 is a spark plug heater, as you know. It does not have the sophisticated electronics that the newer heaters have.

My guess: SP heater runs 30 seconds & shuts down- bypassphotocell. If it runs fine, then the photocell is defective. The test is simpleIf the photocell proves to be good follow these troubleshooting tips

My house is wired thru a 120v photocell for the exterior lights. It will not turn off and the lens is clean. There is no wall box behind it. There is just a small black photocell in the exterior stucco....

If you can't remove or replace that photocell, you can bypass it. Since the lights stay on, you could locate the circuit elsewhere and wire into that location another photocell or timer or both.

Setting the timer

Click on the link below to download your manual if you see your model listed.

You can install a photocell for six to ten dollars which you can wire in series with your timer output. The photocell that will bypass the daylight time cycle from 8am-12pm.

My magicolor 2300dl printer is showing waster toner box full and won't print but the waste toner box is empty and new. Is there a reset button on the printer to bypass this error?

1. Empty the waste box.

2. Read p66 of http://printer.konicaminolta.com/service/ASP/mc2300/documentation_manuals/mc2300SM.pdf

3. Identify the "Waste Toner Full Detecting Sensor" which tries to pass a light beam through the protruding plastic slot on the waste box that engages with the photocell.

4. Use a dry cloth to clean dust off the photocell transmitter and receiver and also off the protruding plastic slot, so that light will now pass through.

5. Refit the waste box and enjoy the $$ saving.
