I have a similar problem with the
THOMSON ST546 and SPARKLAN WX 6800-II,
i have tried everything... for almost half a year.
i consider myself tech savy but nothing is really helping.
i could not really even connect my computer to it at the start and had to dumb down my wired connection by making the connection type to 10baseT full duplex instead of 100baseTx full duplex.
now ive been using a soft AP solution. but we need to move the furniture around, and well the problem never left...
its not our house, so the THOMSON ST546 is my landlords, so i cant change it physically , but i have access to the settings.

Connected the CST-5 in the following manner.
1). one cable from speedtouch LAN port to sparklan WAN port
2). one cable from sparklan LAN port to the computer network port.
3). disable the DHCP from the parklan (consult your users manual how to do that).
4). restart all of the equipment in the following order. (This is important)
speedtouch, sparklan, computer, laptop.

do not rate the answer till you have the whole thing figure out.

How to connect two speedtouch modems wirelessly ?

  • Hi you need a wireless router to do this,
PICK A ROUTER - There are tons of wireless routers to choose from. Depending on how big your house or office you might have to purchase multiple routers. The current standard in wireless technology is known as Wireless G. It is rated at a maximum speed of 54Mbps with a radius range of approximately 75'. This is most suitable for small homes or offices. Other types include Wireless A, B, and N and all vary in bandwidth and range. Do some more research and find out what might be suitable for your needs.
  • Step 2PICK A WIRELESS NETWORK CARD - If you set up a wireless network make sure to get wireless networking cards for each desktop, otherwise there'll be no way for you to connect to the internet. Most laptops have wireless networking cards built in, check your laptops manual to make sure.

you probably have the router set to static ip so first you have to assign your pc with an ip range of the router , then log in the router set to dynamic ip and make sure you connect cables as per router manual. if it does not work then disable firewall , enable upnp devices . After configuration of wireless router you can enable firewall again. If you are using vpn with speedtouch then you should configure speedtouch to store username and password to connect to isp

Can't connect to internet through Netgear WRG into Speedtouch DSL

Here are some troubleshooting steps that I suggest you try:

    1. Check physical connections.

    a. Connect the modem to the Internet port of the router. The Internet “i” LED on the front of the router should light up.
    b. Connect the computer to one of the four LAN ports (i.e port 1, 2, 3 or 4) on the back of the router. The corresponding port light where you connected the computer should be lit up.

    2. Access the router's web-based utility.

    a. Please open any web browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
    b. Connect to the router by typing http://routerlogin.com/basicsetting.htm or http://192.168.1.1 in the address field and click Enter or Return key.
    c. A window will prompt for a user name and password. By default, the user name is "admin" and the password is "password".

Note: If you were unable to access the router's web-based utility, you may reset the router to restore the settings to factory default.

    To reset the router:

    a. Please push the reset button at the back of the router and release after 30 seconds.
    b. Unplug the power adapter for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.

    3. Configure the router.

If your Internet Service Provider is using a DSL connection that does not require a login, please follow the steps below:

    a. Click on Basic Settings under Setup tab.
    b. Select No for Does Your Internet Connection Require A Login?.
    c. Scroll down on the center page and look for the Router MAC Address section. Set it to Use computer MAC address and click on the Apply button.

If your Internet Service Provider is using a DSL connection that requires a login, please follow the steps below:

    a. Click on Basic Settings.
    b. Select Yes for Does Your Internet Connection Require A Login?.
    c. Select Other on the Internet Service Provider drop down box.
    d. Enter your ISP's username (username@ISPdomain) and password. Then, click on Apply.

    4. Configure the wireless settings.

    a. Click on the Wireless Settings under Setup.
    b. Change the SSID to any unique name.
    c. Scroll down, look for the Security Options settings and select WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy).
    d. Set the Authentication type to "Automatic" and the Encryption Strength to "64bit".
    e. Leave the Passphrase field blank, select Key 1 and enter a 10-digit number.

Note: The 10-digit number you typed in the key 1 will be the password or network key for the wireless connection.

    f. Click Apply button to save the changes.
    g. Go to Router Status under Maintenance tab and check if there is an IP address under Internet port. If it's 0.0.0.0, do a power cycle.

    5. Power cycle.

    a. Power off the modem, router and computers.
    b. Turn on the power of the modem first and wait for it to initialize, the lights to stop blinking.
    c. Power back the router and the computers. Check if it will be able to get online.

If you have wireless computers, you can connect them wireless to the router. Kindly follow the instructions below:

    6. Connect wireless computer to the router.

If you are using Windows XP with Service Pack 1, please follow the steps below:

    a. Please right click on the Wireless icon on the right lower end portion of your computer.
    b. Then click on View Available Wireless Networks.
    c. Click on the Advanced tab.

    PS3 and thompson ST585v6

So the WLAN is red, it means that there's no wireless connection from your router.

I might advise you to reconfigure the RCA on the wireless settings.

for the PS 3 there are port that you can gather with your PS 3 manufacturer to open on the router, it might help the PS 3 to go online simultaneously.

Youre E-mule is running koz your DHCP on the router is still running.
The problem is the connection whit Bezeq whitch is prity bad. Get in to the router setup and use automatic setings for connection tipe. That mean that the router can tell the modem to establish connection by himself evritime when is crash. Or just tell them that you need Aztech 600e whitch is the best from Bezeq now.
