Can't hear and see

Hi, I wanted to use Skype as usual. My partner could hear and see me, but I can't. I don't hear the dial in as well as I don't see a video. My PC works normally, I can hear and see you tube vids etc.
The PC on the other side works normally as well, she talked before and after our call. I have the problem with earplugs and by the normal loudspeaker, as I used it always. The level shoes me when I'm talking and when my partner is talking, the signal comes in.

Hi my husband has skype set up on our lap top. Can i set it up too? Do i have to download it again or is there a way i can do it through the desktop icon?

You want a second account, for yourself? If your Skype logs in automatically when you start it... See the menu in top of the window? Go to Skype and select Sign Out. Then you will see the Skype welcome screen and the option to create a new account. Does that answer your question?

When dialing with my logitech skype phone I can't hear any sound until the other person answers the phone. It only happens with skype to skype calls. It works perfectly calling regular phones.

This is probably because dial tones and ringing tones are part of an archaic system. Your cell phone still makes these noises as a courtesy, and you hear the dial tones/ringing tones when you make regular calls because your phone is communicating with the standard phone system.

Skype prob

One thing you can do make a video call to another user.
This will test your bandwidth capacity of sending video and receiving at the same time.
You can tell your partner to do the same test with another user.
I guess that your partner internet connection is slow. That is low bandwidth...
Check this
Also I would recommend to update with latest version of skype.

Use call phones through voip321

It took me a while to figure out but here is how I am able to dial out from skype to a hardline to a person not in my skype contact. Simply start to dial the number (not from the talk button!!!) then instead of hitting the talk button to dial, hit the skype button on the bottom left hand side. I also have to dial 001 then the phone number. Hope this works for you too. good luck.
