Hello Debbie, Your Photo printer has internal problems, this is not rare and is the reason so many of these are for sale real cheap on E-Bay. I have repaired dozens of these units with internal problems. Kodak had a lot of complaints about these units due to high failure rates. Too many internal plastic parts from China !!!!!!!

Best Regards, Russell

Problem 5B00 stops the printer printing on iP4700

Hello, this is from the service manual.

The ink absorber is supposed to be full.
1) Ink absorber condition
2) Part replacement: - Ink absorber kit
3) Ink absorber counter value in the EEPROM; reset the ink absorber counter.

But of course you can only reset it one time without replacing the absorber kit, and here is how you can do it:

  1. Make sure the printer is turned off.
  2. Press and hold the Resume button (triangle inside a circle).
  3. Whilst it is held down, hold down the Power button. The green led light should come on.
  4. Keep the Power button held down. Release the Resume button and then press it twice. The light should go amber, then green again.
  5. Release the Power button.
  6. Press the Resume button four times and then press the Power button straight after to confirm the selected action (Reset Counter Absorber).
  7. Turn off the printer and then turn it on again.
I personaly not advise to reset it the second time without replacing the absorber kit, the ink inside the printer will overflow and make a realy big mess.

Have a nice day

What do symbols on top mean?

Welcome to Fixya

Half circle symbol means printer is in ready state. The printer control panel is comprised of six lights and two buttons. The lights produce patterns that identify the printer status.

1 Jam light: Indicates that there is a jam in the printer.
2 Toner light: When the print cartridge is low, the Toner light illuminates. When the print cartridge is out of the printer,
the Toner light blinks.
3 Paper out light: Indicates that the printer is out of paper.
4 Attention light: Indicates that the print-cartridge door is open or other errors exist.
5 Ready light: Indicates that the printer is ready to print.
6 Go button and light: Initiates action or indicates status.
7 Cancel button: To cancel the print job that is currently printing, press the Cancel button.

Thank you for using Fixya!

I have problems with my Xbox 360 everytime i turn on the 360 there is a red circle. I tryed to fix it but it just won't work anymore how do i fix this Problem

Is there three red lights???? or a complete circle???? Three lights is the red ring of death. Four red lights or a circle is either a bad a/v cable (try a different one) or a bad hard drive....(try taking it off of the side when power is off then turn it on.).

The Hp deskjet 932c went to the far left position and the light is flashing. That is supposed to mean its out of color ink but its not. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled. It will start to print a...

Follow each of these steps until the problem is resolved:

  • Print a printer self-test by holding the power button down with a pencil and opening and closing the top cover four times.

  • Check the nozzle self-test pattern in the self-test print out. If one or more of the solid rectangular areas are missing, an electrical contact problem may be present

  • Remove and then reinsert the print cartridge(s) into the printer.

  • Print the document.

  • Try printing again. If the problem continues, replace the print cartridges.

Printer Problem-Not printing at all.

Hello,

Half circle = ready to print (when light is on )

! mark in a triangle = Attention light : Indicates printer media input tray is empty, print cartridge door is open, print cartridge is missing, or other errors. See Printer information pages for more information.
( light on means that there's an error )
piled circles = toner indicator (light on means toner ("ink") is low, needs replacement)

There's a help page for these light indicators, just in case other lights are / come on, see:
