SOURCE: EE2 code for toyo LASER 56

Hi sammysamual,

My business is Laser Heating Service in the North Pole/Fairbanks areas of Alaska. An EE2 error code is usually fuel related. What does your Toyo do before the EE2 code shows up? If you let me know the sequence of events, I can trouble shoot the problem for you. toyotech

SOURCE: heat pump auxiliary heat does not turn on

Turn up your outside thermostat in the outside unit.
You should have about 3 degrees difference in one stage to the next. So I would change the thermosat with one that has three stages of heat.

SOURCE: Replace three wire thermostat with four wire thermostat

From the two red and two black wires (and the specs in the pdf), your new thermostat sounds like it's designed to directly control the line voltage (120 or 240) to the heater. That's the usual way baseboard heaters are controlled.

Could your wires be red, black, and (old, yellowed) white, the standard colors in a 3-wire power cable? Just the red and black should be enough to control a 120-volt heater so I don't understand what the white would have been used for. If it were my heater I'd take off the cover(s) -- with the power off, of course -- and find out what those wires actually connect to.

My thermostat is set on 68 degrees and it shows room temperature is 68, but the furnace still kickson, Honeywell said it has a 1 degree difference. so what's the problem then?

Yes there is a one degree tolerance, in fact my heater just kicked on and it is set to 67 and the inside temperature reads 67. It is also a Honeywell.

Will broken moisture sensor cause dryer not to heat

In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

Constantly running without shutting off in economy mode

check the temperature control bulb that is located on the rear of the unit at the bottom near the power cord comes out of the unit. a thin gray wire maybe three feet long at the end is located the little glass black bulb. you will have to place this bulb where it can monitor the room temperature. if it is to close to the heater it will cut of whit out heating the room and keep coming on. like wise if to far way or in an area that is to cold then it will keep running. you will have find the right placement for the sensor bulb. it may take a little time.

How does an infrared motion sensor work?

It detects a change in temperature.Everything in the room gives off a certain amount of heat. If a person enters, the heat in the room will change. The sensor will be able to detect the new change in the heat.

Setting temperature with the remote control

remove the front cover of the airconditioning unit, you will find a sensor bulb, (coppertube with a round tip) close to the coil. pull it away around an inch. either the sensor is taking the coils temp and not the air.

The freezer stops working when the room temp drops below 60

Refrigerator operation is controlled by the internal temperature . When there is very little ambient heat available to leak in to cause it to cycle more frequently and there is no door traffic to be a heat source the freezer temperature will increase. Keep the room heated to a higher temperature or remove frozen products is the answer. A small chest type freezer will keep food frozen while you are away and have the heat turned down.
